| 1 | 主なる神の霊がわたしに臨んだ。これは主がわたしに油を注いで、貧しい者に福音を宣べ伝えることをゆだね、わたしをつかわして心のいためる者をいやし、捕われ人に放免を告げ、縛られている者に解放を告げ、 | The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; |
| 2 | 主の恵みの年とわれわれの神の報復の日とを告げさせ、また、すべての悲しむ者を慰め、 | To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; |
| 3 | シオンの中の悲しむ者に喜びを与え、灰にかえて冠を与え、悲しみにかえて喜びの油を与え、憂いの心にかえて、さんびの衣を与えさせるためである。こうして、彼らは義のかしの木ととなえられ、主がその栄光をあらわすために植えられた者ととなえられる。 | To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. |
| 4 | 彼らはいにしえの荒れた所を建てなおし、さきに荒れすたれた所を興し、荒れた町々を新たにし、世々すたれた所を再び建てる。 | And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. |
| 5 | 外国人は立ってあなたがたの群れを飼い、異邦人はあなたがたの畑を耕す者となり、ぶどうを作る者となる。 | And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. |
| 6 | しかし、あなたがたは主の祭司ととなえられ、われわれの神の役者と呼ばれ、もろもろの国の富を食べ、彼らの宝を得て喜ぶ。 | But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. |
| 7 | あなたがたは、さきに受けた恥にかえて、二倍の賜物を受け、はずかしめにかえて、その嗣業を得て楽しむ。それゆえ、あなたがたはその地にあって、二倍の賜物を獲、とこしえの喜びを得る。 | For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. |
| 8 | 主なるわたしは公平を愛し、強奪と邪悪を憎み、真実をもって彼らに報いを与え、彼らと、とこしえの契約を結ぶからである。 | For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. |

| 10 | わたしは主を大いに喜び、わが魂はわが神を楽しむ。主がわたしに救の衣を着せ、義の上衣をまとわせて、花婿が冠をいただき、花嫁が宝玉をもって飾るようにされたからである。 | I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. |
| 11 | 地が芽をいだし、園がまいたものを生やすように、主なる神は義と誉とを、もろもろの国の前に、生やされる。 | For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. |
