| 1 | またわたしは、天に大いなる驚くべきほかのしるしを見た。七人の御使が、最後の七つの災害を携えていた。これらの災害で神の激しい怒りがその頂点に達するのである。 | And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. |
| 2 | またわたしは、火のまじったガラスの海のようなものを見た。そして、このガラスの海のそばに、獣とその像とその名の数字とにうち勝った人々が、神の立琴を手にして立っているのを見た。 | And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. |
| 3 | 彼らは、神の僕モーセの歌と小羊の歌とを歌って言った、「全能者にして主なる神よ。あなたのみわざは、大いなる、また驚くべきものであります。万民の王よ、あなたの道は正しく、かつ真実であります。 | And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. |
| 4 | 主よ、あなたをおそれず、御名をほめたたえない者が、ありましょうか。あなただけが聖なるかたであり、あらゆる国民はきて、あなたを伏し拝むでしょう。あなたの正しいさばきが、あらわれるに至ったからであります」。 | Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. |
| 5 | その後、わたしが見ていると、天にある、あかしの幕屋の聖所が開かれ、 | And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: |
| 6 | その聖所から、七つの災害を携えている七人の御使が、汚れのない、光り輝く亜麻布を身にまとい、金の帯を胸にしめて、出てきた。 | And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. |
| 7 | そして、四つの生き物の一つが、世々限りなく生きておられる神の激しい怒りの満ちた七つの金の鉢を、七人の御使に渡した。 | And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. |
| 8 | すると、聖所は神の栄光とその力とから立ちのぼる煙で満たされ、七人の御使の七つの災害が終ってしまうまでは、だれも聖所にはいることができなかった。 | And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. |
