| 1 | わたしは祭壇のかたわらに立っておられる主を見た。主は言われた、「柱の頭を打って、敷居を震わせ、これを打ち砕いて、すべての民の頭の上に落ちかからせよ。その残った者を、わたしはつるぎで殺し、そのひとりも逃げおおす者はなく、のがれうる者はない。 | I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. |
| 2 | たとい彼らは陰府に掘り下っても、わたしの手はこれをそこから引き出す。たとい彼らは天によじのぼっても、わたしはそこからこれを引きおろす。 | Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: |
| 3 | たとい彼らはカルメルの頂に隠れても、わたしはこれを捜して、そこから引き出す。たとい彼らはわたしの目をのがれて、海の底に隠れても、わたしはへびに命じて、その所でこれをかませる。 | And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: |
| 4 | たとい彼らは捕われて、その敵の前に行っても、わたしはその所でつるぎに命じて、これを殺させる。わたしは彼らの上にわたしの目を注ぐ、それは災のためであって、幸のためではない」。 | And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good. |
| 5 | 万軍の神、主が地に触れられると、地は溶け、その中に住む者はみな嘆き、地はみなナイル川のようにわきあがり、エジプトのナイル川のようにまた沈む。 | And the Lord God of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. |
| 6 | 主はご自分の高殿を天に築き、大空の基を地の上にすえ、海の水を呼んで、地のおもてに注がれる。その名は主ととなえられる。 | It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name. |
| 7 | 主は言われる、「イスラエルの子らよ、あなたがたはわたしにとってエチオピヤびとのようではないか。わたしはイスラエルをエジプトの国から、ペリシテびとをカフトルから、スリヤびとをキルから導き上ったではないか。 | Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? |
| 8 | 見よ、主なる神の目はこの罪を犯した国の上に注がれている。わたしはこれを地のおもてから断ち滅ぼす。しかし、わたしはヤコブの家をことごとくは滅ぼさない」と主は言われる。 | Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord. |
| 9 | 「見よ、わたしは命じて、人がふるいで物をふるうように、わたしはイスラエルの家を万国民のうちでふるう。ひと粒も地に落ちることはない。 | For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. |
| 10 | わが民の罪びと、すなわち『災はわれわれに近づかない、われわれに臨まない』と言う者どもはみな、つるぎで殺される。 | All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. |
| 11 | その日には、わたしはダビデの倒れた幕屋を興し、その破損を繕い、そのくずれた所を興し、これを昔の時のように建てる。 | In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: |
| 12 | これは彼らがエドムの残った者、およびわが名をもって呼ばれるすべての国民を所有するためである」とこの事をなされる主は言われる。 | That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this. |
| 13 | 主は言われる、「見よ、このような時が来る。その時には、耕す者は刈る者に相継ぎ、ぶどうを踏む者は種まく者に相継ぐ。もろもろの山にはうまい酒がしたたり、もろもろの丘は溶けて流れる。 | Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. |
| 14 | わたしはわが民イスラエルの幸福をもとに返す。彼らは荒れた町々を建てて住み、ぶどう畑を作ってその酒を飲み、園を作ってその実を食べる。 | And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. |
| 15 | わたしは彼らをその地に植えつける。彼らはわたしが与えた地から再び抜きとられることはない」とあなたの神、主は言われる。 | And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God. |
