| 1 | あなたがた力ある者よ、まことにあなたがたは正しい事を語り、公平をもって人の子らをさばくのか。 | Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? |
| 2 | 否、あなたがたは心のうちに悪い事をたくらみ、その手は地に暴虐を行う。 | Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. |
| 3 | 悪しき者は胎を出た時から、そむき去り、生れ出た時から、あやまちを犯し、偽りを語る。 | The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. |
| 4 | — | Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; |
| 5 | 彼らはへびの毒のような毒をもち、魔法使または巧みに呪文を唱える者の声を聞かない耳をふさぐ耳しいのまむしのようである。 | Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. |
| 6 | 神よ、彼らの口の歯を折ってください。主よ、若いししのきばを抜き砕いてください。 | Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord. |
| 7 | 彼らを流れゆく水のように消え去らせ、踏み倒される若草のように衰えさせてください。 | Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. |
| 8 | また溶けてどろどろになるかたつむりのように、時ならず生れた日を見ぬ子のようにしてください。 | As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. |
| 9 | あなたがたの釜がまだいばらの熱を感じない前に青いのも、燃えているのも共につむじ風に吹き払われるように彼らを吹き払ってください。 | Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath. |
| 10 | 正しい者は復讐を見て喜び、その足を悪しき者の血で洗うであろう。 | The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. |
| 11 | そして人々は言うであろう、「まことに正しい者には報いがある。まことに地にさばきを行われる神がある」と。 | So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth. |
