| 1 | わたしの義を助け守られる神よ、わたしが呼ばわる時、お答えください。あなたはわたしが悩んでいた時、わたしをくつろがせてくださいました。わたしをあわれみ、わたしの祈をお聞きください。 | Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. |
| 2 | 人の子らよ、いつまでわたしの誉をはずかしめるのか。いつまでむなしい言葉を愛し、偽りを慕い求めるのか。[セラ | O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. |
| 3 | しかしあなたがたは知るがよい、主は神を敬う人をご自分のために聖別されたことを。主はわたしが呼ばわる時におききくださる。 | But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him. |
| 4 | あなたがたは怒っても、罪を犯してはならない。床の上で静かに自分の心に語りなさい。[セラ | Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. |
| 5 | 義のいけにえをささげて主に寄り頼みなさい。 | Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord. |
| 6 | 多くの人は言う、「どうか、わたしたちに良い事が見られるように。主よ、どうか、み顔の光をわたしたちの上に照されるように」と。 | There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. |
| 7 | あなたがわたしの心にお与えになった喜びは、穀物と、ぶどう酒の豊かな時の喜びにまさるものでした。 | Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. |
| 8 | わたしは安らかに伏し、また眠ります。主よ、わたしを安らかにおらせてくださるのは、ただあなただけです。 | I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. |
