| 1 | 主よ、わたしはあなたをあがめます。あなたはわたしを引きあげ、敵がわたしの事によって喜ぶのを、ゆるされなかったからです。 | I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. |
| 2 | わが神、主よ、わたしがあなたにむかって助けを叫び求めると、あなたはわたしをいやしてくださいました。 | O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. |
| 3 | 主よ、あなたはわたしの魂を陰府からひきあげ、墓に下る者のうちから、わたしを生き返らせてくださいました。 | O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. |
| 4 | 主の聖徒よ、主をほめうたい、その聖なるみ名に感謝せよ。 | Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. |
| 5 | その怒りはただつかのまで、その恵みはいのちのかぎり長いからである。夜はよもすがら泣きかなしんでも、朝と共に喜びが来る。 | For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. |
| 6 | わたしは安らかな時に言った、「わたしは決して動かされることはない」と。 | And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. |
| 7 | 主よ、あなた恵みをもって、わたしをゆるがない山のように堅くされました。あなたがみ顔をかくされたので、わたしはおじ惑いました。 | Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. |
| 8 | 主よ、わたしはあなたに呼ばわりました。ひたすら主に請い願いました、 | I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication. |
| 9 | 「わたしが墓に下るならば、わたしの死になんの益があるでしょうか。ちりはあなたをほめたたえるでしょうか。あなたのまことをのべ伝えるでしょうか。 | What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? |
| 10 | 主よ、聞いてください、わたしをあわれんでください。主よ、わたしの助けとなってください」と。 | Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper. |
