| 1 | わたしは主を愛する。主はわが声と、わが願いとを聞かれたからである。 | I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. |
| 2 | 主はわたしに耳を傾けられたので、わたしは生きるかぎり主を呼びまつるであろう。 | Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. |
| 3 | 死の綱がわたしを取り巻き、陰府の苦しみがわたしを捕えた。わたしは悩みと悲しみにあった。 | The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. |
| 4 | その時わたしは主のみ名を呼んだ。「主よ、どうぞわたしをお救いください」と。 | Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. |
| 5 | 主は恵みふかく、正しくいらせられ、われらの神はあわれみに富まれる。 | Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. |
| 6 | 主は無学な者を守られる。わたしが低くされたとき、主はわたしを救われた。 | The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. |
| 7 | わが魂よ、おまえの平安に帰るがよい。主は豊かにおまえをあしらわれたからである。 | Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. |
| 8 | あなたはわたしの魂を死から、わたしの目を涙から、わたしの足をつまずきから助け出されました。 | For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. |
| 9 | わたしは生ける者の地で、主のみ前に歩みます。 | I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. |
| 10 | 「わたしは大いに悩んだ」と言った時にもなお信じた。 | I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: |
| 11 | わたしは驚きあわてたときに言った、「すべての人は当にならぬ者である」と。 | I said in my haste, All men are liars. |
| 12 | わたしに賜わったもろもろの恵みについて、どうして主に報いることができようか。 | What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me? |
| 13 | わたしは救の杯をあげて、主のみ名を呼ぶ。 | I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. |
| 14 | わたしはすべての民の前で、主にわが誓いをつぐなおう。 | I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people. |
| 15 | 主の聖徒の死はそのみ前において尊い。 | Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. |
| 16 | 主よ、わたしはあなたのしもべです。わたしはあなたのしもべ、あなたのはしための子です。あなたはわたしのなわめを解かれました。 | O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. |
| 17 | わたしは感謝のいけにえをあなたにささげて、主のみ名を呼びます。 | I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord. |
| 18 | わたしはすべての民の前で主にわが誓いをつぐないます。 | I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people, |
| 19 | エルサレムよ、あなたの中で、主の家の大庭の中で、これをつぐないます。主をほめたたえよ。 | In the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord. |
