| 2 | わがたましいよ、主をほめよ。そのすべてのめぐみを心にとめよ。 | Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: |
| 3 | 主はあなたのすべての不義をゆるし、あなたのすべての病をいやし、 | Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; |
| 4 | あなたのいのちを墓からあがないいだし、いつくしみと、あわれみとをあなたにこうむらせ、 | Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; |
| 5 | あなたの生きながらえるかぎり、良き物をもってあなたを飽き足らせられる。こうしてあなたは若返って、わしのように新たになる。 | Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. |
| 6 | 主はすべてしえたげられる者のために正義と公正とを行われる。 | The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. |
| 7 | 主はおのれの道をモーセに知らせ、おのれのしわざをイスラエルの人々に知らせられた。 | He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. |
| 8 | 主はあわれみに富み、めぐみふかく、怒ること遅く、いつくしみ豊かでいらせられる。 | The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. |
| 9 | 主は常に責めることをせず、また、とこしえに怒りをいだかれない。 | He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. |
| 10 | 主はわれらの罪にしたがってわれらをあしらわず、われらの不義にしたがって報いられない。 | He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. |
| 11 | 天が地よりも高いように、主がおのれを恐れる者に賜わるいつくしみは大きい、 | For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. |
| 12 | 東が西から遠いように、主はわれらのとがをわれらから遠ざけられる。 | As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. |
| 13 | 父がその子供をあわれむように、主はおのれを恐れる者をあわれまれる。 | Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. |
| 14 | 主はわれらの造られたさまを知り、われらのちりであることを覚えていられるからである。 | For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. |
| 15 | 人は、そのよわいは草のごとく、その栄えは野の花にひとしい。 | As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. |
| 16 | 風がその上を過ぎると、うせて跡なく、その場所にきいても、もはやそれを知らない。 | For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. |
| 17 | しかし主のいつくしみは、とこしえからとこしえまで、主を恐れる者の上にあり、その義は子らの子に及び、 | But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; |
| 18 | その契約を守り、その命令を心にとめて行う者にまで及ぶ。 | To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. |
| 19 | 主はその玉座を天に堅くすえられ、そのまつりごとはすべての物を統べ治める。 | The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. |
| 20 | 主の使たちよ、そのみ言葉の声を聞いて、これを行う勇士たちよ、主をほめまつれ。 | Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. |
| 21 | そのすべての万軍よ、そのみこころを行うしもべたちよ、主をほめよ。 | Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. |
| 22 | 主が造られたすべての物よ、そのまつりごとの下にあるすべての所で、主をほめよ。わがたましいよ、主をほめよ。 | Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul. |
