| 1 | その床の上で不義を計り、悪を行う者はわざわいである。彼らはその手に力あるゆえ、夜が明けるとこれを行う。 | Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. |
| 2 | 彼らは田畑をむさぼってこれを奪い、家をむさぼってこれを取る。彼らは人をしえたげてその家を奪い、人をしえたげてその嗣業を奪う。 | And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. |
| 3 | それゆえ、主はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはこのやからにむかって災を下そうと計る。あなたがたはその首をこれから、はずすことはできない。また、まっすぐに立って歩くことはできない。これは災の時だからである。 | Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil. |
| 4 | その日、人々は歌を作ってあなたがたをののしり、悲しみの歌をもって嘆き悲しみ、「われわれはことごとく滅ぼされる、わが民の分は人に与えられる。どうしてこれはわたしから離れるのであろう。われわれの田畑はわれわれを捕えた者の間に分け与えられる」と言う。 | In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields. |
| 5 | それゆえ、主の会衆のうちにはくじによって測りなわを張る者はひとりもなくなる。 | Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the Lord. |
| 6 | 彼らは言う、「あなたがたは説教してはならない。そのような事について説教してはならない。そうすればわれわれは恥をこうむることがない」と。 | Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame. |
| 7 | ヤコブの家よ、そんなことは言えるのだろうか。主は気短な方であろうか。これらは主のみわざなのであろうか。わが言葉は正しく歩む者に、益とならないのであろうか。 | O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the Lord straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly? |
| 8 | ところが、あなたがたは立ってわが民の敵となり、いくさのことを知らずに、安らかに過ぎゆく者から、平和な者から、上着をはぎ取り、 | Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war. |
| 9 | わが民の女たちをその楽しい家から追い出し、その子どもから、わが栄えをとこしえに奪う。 | The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever. |
| 10 | 立って去れ、これはあなたがたの休み場所ではない。これは汚れのゆえに滅びる。その滅びは悲惨な滅びだ。 | Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. |
| 11 | もし人が風に歩み、偽りを言い、「わたしはぶどう酒と濃き酒とについて、あなたに説教しよう」と言うならば、その人はこの民の説教者となるであろう。 | If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people. |
| 12 | ヤコブよ、わたしは必ずあなたをことごとく集め、イスラエルの残れる者を集める。わたしはこれをおりの羊のように、牧場の中の群れのように共におく。これは人の多きによって騒がしくなる。 | I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. |
| 13 | 打ち破る者は彼らに先だって登りゆき、彼らは門を打ち破り、これをとおって外に出て行く。彼らの王はその前に進み、主はその先頭に立たれる。 | The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them. |
