1 イエスこれらの事を語りはて、目を擧げ天を仰ぎて言ひ給ふ『父よ、時 來れり、子が汝の榮光を顯さんために、汝の子の榮光を顯したまへ。 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 汝より賜はりし凡ての者に、永遠の生命を與へしめんとて、萬民を治むる權威を子に賜ひたればなり。 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 永遠の生命は、唯一の眞の神にいます汝と、なんぢの遣し給ひしイエス・キリストとを知るにあり。 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 我に成さしめんとて汝の賜ひし業を成し遂げて、我は地上に汝の榮光をあらはせり。 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 父よ、まだ世のあらぬ前に、わが汝と偕にもちたりし榮光をもて、今 御前にて我に榮光あらしめ給へ。 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 世の中より我に賜ひし人々に、われ御名をあらはせり。彼らは汝の有なるを我に賜へり、而して彼らは汝の言を守りたり。 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 今かれらは、凡て我に賜ひしものの汝より出づるを知る。 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 我は我に賜ひし言を彼らに與へ、彼らは之を受け、わが汝より出でたるを眞に知り、なんぢの我を遣し給ひしことを信じたるなり。 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 我かれらの爲に願ふ、わが願ふは世のためにあらず、汝の我に賜ひたる者のためなり、彼らは即ち汝のものなり。 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 我がものは皆なんぢの有、なんぢの有は我がものなり、我かれらより榮光を受けたり。 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 今より我は世に居らず、彼らは世に居り、我は汝にゆく。聖なる父よ、我に賜ひたる汝の御名の中に彼らを守りたまへ。これ我等のごとく、彼らの一つとならん爲なり。 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 我かれらと偕にをる間、われに賜ひたる汝の御名の中に彼らを守り、かつ保護したり。其のうち一人だに亡びず、ただ亡の子のみ亡びたり、聖書の成就せん爲なり。 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 今は我なんぢに往く、而して此 等のことを世に在りて語るは、我が喜悦を彼らに全からしめん爲なり。 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 我は御言を彼らに與へたり、而して世は彼らを憎めり、我の世のものならぬごとく、彼らも世のものならぬに因りてなり。 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 わが願ふは、彼らを世より取り給はんことならず、惡より免れさらせ給はんことなり。 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 我の世のものならぬ如く、彼らも世のものならず。 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 眞理にて彼らを潔め別ちたまへ、汝の御言は眞理なり。 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 汝われを世に遣し給ひし如く、我も彼らを世に遣せり。 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 また彼 等のために我は己を潔めわかつ、これ眞理にて彼らも潔め別たれん爲なり。 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 我かれらの爲のみならず、その言によりて我を信ずる者のためにも願ふ。 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 これ皆 一つとならん爲なり。父よ、なんぢ我に在し、我なんぢに居るごとく、彼らも我らに居らん爲なり、是なんぢの我を遣し給ひしことを世の信ぜん爲なり。 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 我は汝の我に賜ひし榮光を彼らに與へたり、是われらの一つなる如く、彼らも一つとならん爲なり。 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 即ち我かれらに居り、汝われに在し、彼ら一つとなりて全くせられん爲なり、是なんぢの我を遣し給ひしことと、我を愛し給ふごとく彼らをも愛し給ふこととを、世の知らん爲なり。 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 父よ、望むらくは、我に賜ひたる人々の我が居るところに我と偕にをり、世の創の前より我を愛し給ひしによりて、汝の我に賜ひたる我が榮光を見んことを。 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 正しき父よ、げに世は汝を知らず、されど我は汝を知り、この者どもも汝の我を遣し給ひしことを知れり。 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 われ御名を彼らに知らしめたり、復これを知らしめん。これ我を愛し給ひたる愛の、彼らに在りて、我も彼らに居らん爲なり』 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
