1 この後われ天に大なる群衆の大聲のごとき者ありて、かく言ふを聞けり。曰く『ハレルヤ、救と榮光と權力とは、我らの神のものなり。 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 その御審は眞にして義なるなり、己が淫行をもて地を汚したる大淫婦を審き、神の僕らの血の復讐を彼になし給ひしなり』 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 また再び言ふ『ハレルヤ、彼の燒かるる煙は世々 限りなく立ち昇るなり』 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 ここに二十四人の長老と四つの活物と平伏して御座に坐したまふ神を拜し『アァメン、ハレルヤ』と言へり。 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 また御座より聲 出でて言ふ『すべて神の僕たるもの、神を畏るる者よ、小なるも大なるも、我らの神を讃め奉れ』 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 われ大なる群衆の聲おほくの水の音のごとく、烈しき雷霆の聲の如きものを聞けり。曰く『ハレルヤ全能の主、われらの神は統治らすなり。 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 われら喜び樂しみて之に榮光を歸し奉らん。そは羔羊の婚姻の時いたり、既にその新婦みづから準備したればなり。 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 彼は輝ける潔き細布を著ることを許されたり、此の細布は聖徒たちの正しき行爲なり』 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 御使また我に言ふ『なんぢ書き記せ、羔羊の婚姻の宴席に招かれたる者は幸福なり』と。また我に言ふ『これ神の眞の言なり』 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 我その足下に平伏して拜せんとしたれば、彼われに言ふ『愼みて然すな、我は汝およびイエスの證を保つ汝の兄弟とともに僕たるなり。なんぢ神を拜せよ、イエスの證は即ち預言の靈なり』 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 我また天の開けたるを見しに、視よ、白き馬あり、之に乘りたまふ者は「忠實また眞」と稱へられ、義をもて審きかつ戰ひたまふ。 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 彼の目は焔のごとく、その頭には多くの冠冕あり、また記せる名あり、之を知る者は彼の他になし。 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 彼は血に染みたる衣を纏へり、その名は「神の言」と稱ふ。 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 天に在る軍勢は白く潔き細布を著、白き馬に乘りて彼にしたがふ。 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 彼の口より利き劍いづ、之をもて諸國の民をうち、鐵の杖をもて之を治め給はん。また自ら全能の神の烈しき怒の酒槽を踐みたまふ。 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 その衣と股とに『王の王、主の主』と記せる名あり。 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 我また一人の御使の太陽のなかに立てるを見たり。大聲に呼はりて、中空を飛ぶ凡ての鳥に言ふ『いざ、神の大なる宴席に集ひきたりて、 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 王たちの肉、將校の肉、強き者の肉、馬と之に乘る者との肉、すべての自主および奴隷、小なるもの大なる者の肉を食へ』 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 我また獸と地の王たちと彼らの軍勢とが相 集りて、馬に乘りたまふ者および其の軍勢に對ひて戰鬪を挑むを見たり。 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 かくて獸は捕へられ、又その前に不思議を行ひて獸の徽章を受けたる者と、その像を拜する者とを惑したる僞 預言者も、之とともに捕へられ、二つながら生きたるまま硫黄の燃ゆる火の池に投げ入れられたり。 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 その他の者は馬に乘りたまふ者の口より出づる劍にて殺され、凡ての鳥その肉を食ひて飽きたり。 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
