1 ソロモン王はイスラエルの全地に王たり So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 其有る群卿は左の如しザドクの子アザリヤは相國 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 シシヤの子エリホレフとアヒヤは書記官アヒルデの子ヨシヤパテは史官 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 ヱホヤダの子ベナヤは軍の長ザドクとアビヤタルは祭司 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 ナタンの子アザリヤは代官の長ナタンの子ザブデは大臣にして王の友たり And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6 アヒシヤルは宮内卿アブダの子アドニラムは徴募長なり And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 ソロモン又イスラエルの全地に十二の代官を置り其人々王と其家のために食物を備へたり即ち各一年に一月宛食物を備へたり And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 其名左のごとしエフライムの山地にはベンホル And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 マカヅとシヤラビムとベテシメシとエロンベテハナンにはベンデケル The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:
10 アルポテにはベンヘセデありシヨコとヘベルの全地とは彼擔任り The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 ドルの高地の全部にはベンアヒナダブあり彼はソロモンの女タパテを妻とせり The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12 アルヒデの子バアナはタアナクとメギドとヱズレルの下にザルタナの邊にあるベテシヤンの全地とを擔任てベテシヤンよりアベルメホラにいたりヨクネアムの外にまで及ぶ Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 ギレアデのラモテにはベンゲベルあり彼はギレアデにあるマナセの子ヤイルの諸村を擔任ち又バシヤンなるアルゴブの地にある石垣と銅の關を有る大なる城六十を擔任り The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 イドの子アヒナダブはマハナイムを擔任り Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 ナフタリにはアヒマアズあり彼もソロモンの女バスマテを妻に娶れり Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16 アセルとアロテにはホシヤイの子バアナあり Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 イツサカルにはパルアの子ヨシヤパテあり Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 ベニヤミンにはエラの子シメイあり Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 アモリ人の王シホンの地およびバシヤンの王オグの地なるギレアデの地にはウリの子ゲベルあり其地にありし代官は唯彼一人のみ Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20 ユダとイスラエルの人は多くして濱の沙の多きがごとくなりしが飮食して樂めり Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 ソロモンは河よりペリシテ人の地にいたるまでとエジプトの境に及ぶまでの諸國を治めたれば皆禮物を餽りてソロモンの一生の間事へたり And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 偖ソロモンの一日の食物は細麺三十石粗麺六十石 And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 肥牛十牧場の牛二十羊一百其外に牡鹿羚羊小鹿および肥たる禽あり Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24 其はソロモン河の此方をテフサよりガザまで盡く治めたればなり即ち河の此方の諸王を悉く統治たり彼は四方の臣僕より平安を得たりき For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 ソロモンの一生の間ユダとイスラエルはダンよりベエルシバに至るまで安然に各其葡萄樹の下と無花果樹の下に住り And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 ソロモン戰車の馬の厩四千騎兵一萬二千を有り And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 彼代官等各其月にソロモン王のためおよび總てソロモン王の席に來る者の爲に食を備へて缺るとこるなからしめたり And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 又彼等各其職に循ひて馬および疾足の馬に食する大麥と蒭蕘を其馬の在る處に携へ來れり Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 神ソロモンに智慧と聰明を甚だ多く賜ひ又廣大き心を賜ふ海濱の沙のごとし And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 ソロモンの智慧は東洋の人々の智慧とエジプトの諸の智慧よりも大なりき And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 彼は凡の人よりも賢くエズラ人エタンよりも又マホルの子なるヘマンとカルコルおよびダルダよりも賢くして其名四方の諸國に聞えたり For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 彼箴言三千を説り又其詩歌は一千五首あり And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 彼又草木の事を論じてレバノンの香柏より墻に生る苔に迄及べり彼亦獣と鳥と匐行物と魚の事を論じたり And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 諸の國の人々ソロモンの智慧を聽んとて來り天下の諸の王ソロモンの智慧を聞及びて人を遣はせり And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
