1 人妻を取てこれを娶れる後恥べき所のこれにあるを見てこれを好まずなりたらば離縁状を書てこれが手に交しこれをその家より出すべし When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 その婦これが家より出たる後往て他の人に嫁ぐことをせんに And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3 後の夫もこれを嫌ひ離縁状を書てその手にわたして之を家より出し又はこれを妻にめとれるその後の夫死るあるも And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4 是は已に身を汚玷したるに因て之を出したるその先の夫ふたたびこれを妻にめとるべからず是ヱホバの憎みたまふ事なればなり汝の神ヱホバの汝に與へて產業となさしめたまふ地に汝罪を負すなかれ Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
5 人あらたに妻を娶りたる時は之を軍に出すべからずまた何の職務をもこれに任すべからずその人は一年家に間居してその娶れる妻を慰むべし When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
6 人その磨礱を質におくべからず是その生命をつなぐ物を質におくなればなり No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he taketh a man’s life to pledge.
7 イスラエルの子孫の中なるその兄弟を拐帶してこれを使ひまたはこれを賣る人あるを見ばその拐帶者を殺し然して汝らの中より惡を除くべし If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
8 汝癩病を愼み凡て祭司たるレビ人が汝らに敎ふる所を善く守りて行ふべし即ち我が彼らに命ぜしごとくに汝ら守りて行ふべし Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
9 汝らがエジプトより出きたれる路にて汝の神ヱホバがミリアムに爲たまひしところの事を誌えよ Remember what the Lord thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
10 凡て汝の鄰に物を貸あたふる時は汝みづからこれが家にいりてその質物を取べからず When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
11 汝は外に立をり汝が貸たる人その質物を外に持いだして汝に付すべし Thou shalt stand abroad, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
12 その人もし困苦者ならば之が質物を留おきて睡眠に就べからず And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge:
13 かならず日の入る頃その質物を之に還すべし然せばその人おのれの上衣をまとふて睡眠につくことを得て汝を祝せん是汝の神ヱホバの前において汝の義となるべし In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the Lord thy God.
14 困苦る貧き傭人は汝の兄弟にもあれ又は汝の地にてなんぢの門の内に寄寓る他國の人にもあれ之を虐ぐべからず Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
15 當日にこれが値をはらふべし日の入るまで延すべからず其は貧き者にてその心にこれを慕へばなり恐らくは彼ヱホバに汝を訴ふるありて汝罪を獲ん At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the Lord, and it be sin unto thee.
16 父はその子等の故によりて殺さるべからず子等はその父の故によりて殺さるべからず各人おのれの罪によりて殺さるべきなり The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17 汝他國の人または孤子の審判を曲べからずまた寡婦の衣服を質に取べからず Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
18 汝誌ゆべし汝はエジプトに奴隸たりしが汝の神ヱホバ汝を其處より贖ひいだしたまへり是をもて我この事をなせと汝に命ずるなり But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
19 汝田野にて穀物を刈る時もしその一束を田野に忘れおきたらば返りてこれを取べからず他國の人と孤子と寡婦とにこれを取すべし然せば汝の神ヱホバ凡て汝が手に作ところの事に祝福を降したまはん When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
20 汝橄欖を打落す時は再びその枝をさがすべからずその遺れる者を他國の人と孤子と寡婦とに取すべし When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21 また葡萄園の葡萄を摘とる時はその遺れる者を再びさがすべからず他國の人と孤子と寡婦とにこれを取すべし When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22 汝誌ゆべし汝はエジプトの國に奴隸たりしなり是をもて我この事を爲せと汝に命ず And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
