| 1 | かの時ヱホバ我に言たまひけるは汝石の板二枚を前のごとくに斫て作りまた木の櫃一箇を作りて山に登り來れ | At that time the Lord said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood. |
| 2 | 汝が碎きしかの前の板に載たる言を我その板に書さん汝これをその櫃に蔵むべし | And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark. |
| 3 | 我すなはち合歓木をもて櫃一箇を作りまた石の板二枚を前のごとくに斫て作りその板二枚を手に執て山に登りしかば | And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand. |
| 4 | ヱホバかの集會の日に山において火の中より汝らに告たるその十誡を前に書したるごとくその板に書し而してヱホバこれを我に授けたまへり | And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the Lord spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the Lord gave them unto me. |
| 5 | 是に於て我身を轉らして山より下りその板を我が造りしかの櫃に蔵めたり今なほその中にありヱホバの我に命じたまへる如し | And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the Lord commanded me. |
| 6 | 斯てイスラエルの子孫はヤカン人の井より出たちてモセラにいたれりアロン其處に死て其處に葬られその子エレアザルこれに代りて祭司となれり | And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead. |
| 7 | 又其處より出たちてグデゴダにいたりグデゴダより出たちてヨテバにいたれりこの地には水の流多かりき | From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters. |
| 8 | かの時ヱホバ、レビの支派を區分てヱホバの契約の櫃を舁しめヱホバの前に立てこれに事へしめ又ヱホバの名をもて祝することを爲せたまへり其事今日にいたる | At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day. |
| 9 | 是をもてレビはその兄弟等の中に分なくまた產業なし惟ヱホバその產業たり汝の神ヱホバの彼に言たまへる如し | Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the Lord is his inheritance, according as the Lord thy God promised him. |
| 10 | 我は前の日數のごとく四十日四十夜山に居しがヱホバその時にもまた我に聽たまへりヱホバ汝を滅すことを好みたまはざりき | And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the Lord hearkened unto me at that time also, and the Lord would not destroy thee. |
| 11 | 斯てヱホバ我に言たまひけるは汝起あがり民に先だちて進み行き彼らをして我が之に與へんとその先祖に誓ひたる地に入てこれを獲せしめよ | And the Lord said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them. |
| 12 | イスラエルよ今汝の神ヱホバの汝に要めたまふ事は何ぞや惟是のみ即ち汝がその神ヱホバを畏れその一切の道に歩み之を愛し心を盡し精神を盡して汝の神ヱホバに事へ | And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, |
| 13 | 又我が今日汝らに命ずるヱホバの誡命と法度とを守りて身に福祉を得るの事のみ | To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? |
| 14 | 夫天と諸天の天および地とその中にある者は皆汝の神ヱホバに屬す | Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. |
| 15 | 然るにヱホバただ汝の先祖等を悦こびて之を愛しその後の子孫たる汝らを萬の民の中より選びたまへり今日のごとし | Only the Lord had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. |
| 16 | 然ば汝ら心に割禮を行へ重て項を強くする勿れ | Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. |
| 17 | 汝の神ヱホバは神の神主の主大にしてかつ權能ある畏るべき神にましまし人を偏り視ずまた賄賂を受ず | For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: |
| 18 | 孤兒と寡婦のために審判を行ひまた旅客を愛してこれに食物と衣服を與へたまふ | He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. |
| 19 | 汝ら旅客を愛すべし其は汝らもエジプトの國に旅客たりし事あればなり | Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. |
| 20 | 汝の神ヱホバを畏れ之に事へこれに附從がひその名を指て誓ふことをすべし | Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name. |
| 21 | 彼は汝の讃べき者また汝の神にして汝が目に見たる此等の大なる畏るべき事業をなしたまへり | He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. |
| 22 | 汝の先祖等は僅か七十人にてエジプトに下りたりしに今汝の神ヱホバ汝をして天空の星のごとくに多くならしめたまへり | Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the Lord thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude. |
