| 1 | 此暴虐を行ふ悖りかつ汚れたる邑は禍なるかな | Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! |
| 2 | 是は聲を聽いれず敎晦を承ずヱホバに依賴まずおのれの神に近よらず | She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord; she drew not near to her God. |
| 3 | その中にをる牧伯等は吼る獅子の如くその審士は明旦までに何をも遺さざる 夜求食する狼のごとし | Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow. |
| 4 | その預言者は傲りかつ詐る人なり その祭司は聖物を汚し律法を破ることをなせり | Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law. |
| 5 | その中にいますヱホバは義くして不義を行なひたまはず朝な朝な己の公義を顯して缺ることなし 然るに不義なる者は恥を知ず | The just Lord is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame. |
| 6 | 我國々の民を滅したればその櫓は凡て荒たり 我これが街を荒凉れしめたれば往來する者なし その邑々は滅びて人なく住む者なきに至れり | I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant. |
| 7 | われ前に言り 汝ただ我を畏れまた警敎を受べし 然らばその住家は我が凡て之につきて定めたる所の如くに滅されざるべしと 然るに彼等は夙に起て己の一切の行状を壞れり | I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings. |
| 8 | ヱホバ曰たまふ 是ゆゑに汝らわが起て獲物をする日いたるまで我を俟て 我もろもろの民を集へ諸の國を聚めてわが憤恨とわが烈き忿怒を盡くその上にそそがんと思ひ定む 全地はわが嫉妬の火に燒ほろぼさるべし | Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. |
| 9 | その時われ國々の民に清き唇をあたへ彼らをして凡てヱホバの名を呼しめ心をあはせて之につかへしめん | For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent. |
| 10 | わが散せし者等の女即ち我を拜む者エテオピアの河々の彼旁よりもきたりて我に禮ものをささぐべし | From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. |
| 11 | その日には汝われに對てをかしきたりし諸の行爲をもて羞を得ことなかるべし その時には我なんぢの中より高ぶり樂む者等を除けば汝かさねてわが聖山にて傲り高ぶることなければなり | In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain. |
| 12 | われ柔和にして貧き民をなんぢの中にのこさん 彼らはヱホバの名に依賴むべし | I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the Lord. |
| 13 | イスラエルの遺れる者は惡を行はず 謊をいはず その口のうちには詐僞の舌なし 彼らは草食ひ臥やすまん 之を懼れしむる者なかるべし | The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid. |
| 14 | シオンの女よ歡喜の聲を擧よ イスラエルよ樂み呼はれ エルサレムの女よ心のかぎり喜び樂め | Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. |
| 15 | ヱホバすでに汝の鞫を止め汝の敵を逐はらひたまへり イスラエルの王ヱホバ汝の中にいます 汝はかさねて災禍にあふことあらじ | The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. |
| 16 | その日にはエルサレムに向ひて言あらん 懼るるなかれ シオンよ 汝の手をしなえ垂るるなかれと | In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. |
| 17 | なんぢの神ヱホバなんぢの中にいます 彼は拯救を施す勇士なり 彼なんぢのために喜び樂み愛の餘りに默し汝のために喜びて呼はりたまふ | The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. |
| 18 | われ節會のことにつきて憂ふるものを集めん 彼等は汝より出し者なり 恥辱かれらに蒙むること重負のごとし | I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden. |
| 19 | 視よその時われ汝を虐遇る者を盡く處置し足蹇たるものを救ひ逐はなたれたる者を集め彼らをして其羞辱を蒙りし一切の國にて稱譽を得させ名を得さすべし | Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. |
| 20 | その時われ汝らを携へその時われ汝らを集むべし 我なんぢらの目の前において汝らの俘囚をかへし汝らをして地上の萬國に名を得させ稱譽を得さすべし ヱホバこれを言ふ | At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord. |
