1 モーセ、イスラエルの子孫の支派の長等に告て云ふヱホバの命じたまふ事は是のごとし And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded.
2 人もしヱホバに誓願をかけ又はその身に斷物をなさんと誓ひなばその言詞を破るべからずその口より出ししごとく凡て爲べし If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3 また女もし若くしてその父の家に居る時ヱホバに誓願をかけ又はその身斷物を爲ことあらんに If a woman also vow a vow unto the Lord, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;
4 その父これが誓願またはその身に斷し斷物を聞て之にむかひて言ふこと無ば其かけたる誓願を行ひまたその身に斷し斷物を守るべし And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5 然どその父これを聞る日に之を允さざるあらばその誓願およびその身に斷し斷物を凡て止ることを得べしその父の允さざるなればヱホバこれを赦したまふなり But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the Lord shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6 もしまた夫に適く身にして自ら誓願をかけまたはその身に斷物せんと軽々しく口より言いだすことあらんに And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
7 その夫これを聞もそのこれを聞る日にこれに向ひて言ふこと無ばその誓願を行ひその身に斷し斷物を守るべし And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8 されど夫もし之を聞る日にこれを允さざるならば之がかけし誓願または之がその身に斷物せんと軽々しく口に出ししところの事を空うするを得べしヱホバはその女を赦したまふなり But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the Lord shall forgive her.
9 また寡婦あるひは去れたる婦人の誓願など凡てその身になしし斷物はこれを守るべし But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
10 婦女もしその夫の家において誓願をかけ又はその身に斷物せんと誓ふことあらんに And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11 夫これを聞てこれに對ひて言ふことなく之を允さざること無ばその誓願は凡てこれを行ふべくその身に斷し斷物は凡てこれを守るべし And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12 然どその夫もしこれを聞る日に全くこれを空うせばその誓願またはその斷物につき口より出しし事は凡て守るに及ばずその夫これを空くなしたるなればヱホバその婦女を赦したまふなり But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the Lord shall forgive her.
13 凡の誓願および凡てその身をなやますところの誓約は夫これを堅うすることを得夫これを空うすることを得べし Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14 その夫もし之にむかひて言ふことなくして日をおくらば之が誓願またはこれが斷物を凡て堅うするなり彼これを聞る日に妻にむかひて言ふことを爲ざるに因て之を堅うせるなり But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15 然どその夫もしこれを聞たる後にいたりてこれを空うする事あらばその妻の罪を任べし But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.
16 是すなはちヱホバがモーセに命じたまへる法令にして夫と妻および父とその女子の少くして父の家にある者とにかかはる者なり These are the statutes, which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father’s house.
