| 1 | この故に我ら憐憫を蒙りて此の職を受けたれば、落膽せず、 | Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; |
| 2 | 恥づべき隱れたる事をすて、惡巧に歩まず、神の言をみださず、眞理を顯して神の前に己を凡ての人の良心に薦むるなり。 | But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. |
| 3 | もし我らの福音おほはれ居らば、亡ぶる者に覆はれをるなり。 | But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: |
| 4 | この世の神は此 等の不 信者の心を暗まして、神の像なるキリストの榮光の福音の光を照さざらしめたり。 | In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. |
| 5 | 我らは己の事を宣べず、ただキリスト・イエスの主たる事と、我らがイエスのために汝らの僕たる事とを宣ぶ。 | For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. |
| 6 | 光、暗より照り出でよと宣ひし神は、イエス・キリストの顏にある神の榮光を知る知識を輝かしめんために、我らの心を照し給へるなり。 | For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. |
| 7 | 我等この寶を土の器に有てり、これ優れて大なる能力の我等より出でずして、神より出づることの顯れんためなり。 | But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. |
| 8 | われら四方より患難を受くれども窮せず、爲ん方つくれども希望を失はず、 | We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; |
| 9 | 責めらるれども棄てられず、倒さるれども亡びず、 | Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; |
| 10 | 常にイエスの死を我らの身に負ふ。これイエスの生命の我らの身にあらはれん爲なり。 | Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. |
| 11 | それ我ら生ける者の常にイエスのため死に付さるるは、イエスの生命の我らの死ぬべき肉體にあらはれん爲なり。 | For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. |
| 12 | さらば死は我等のうちに働き、生命は汝 等のうちに働くなり。 | So then death worketh in us, but life in you. |
| 13 | 録して『われ信ずるによりて語れり』とあるごとく、我等にも同じ信仰の靈あり、信ずるに因りて語るなり。 | We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; |
| 14 | これ主イエスを甦へらせ給ひし者の我等をもイエスと共に甦へらせ、汝らと共に立たしめ給ふことを我ら知ればなり。 | Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. |
| 15 | 凡ての事は汝らの益なり。これ多くの人によりて御惠の増し加はり、感謝いや増りて神の榮光の顯れん爲なり。 | For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. |
| 16 | この故に我らは落膽せず、我らが外なる人は壞るれども、内なる人は日々に新なり。 | For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. |
| 17 | それ我らが受くる暫くの輕き患難は、極めて大なる永遠の重き光榮を得しむるなり。 | For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; |
| 18 | 我らの顧みる所は見ゆるものにあらで見えぬものなればなり。見ゆるものは暫時にして、見えぬものは永遠に至るなり。 | While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. |
