Ã𐌰𐌽𐌿𐌷 𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌽𐌰𐌼 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃 𐌹𐌴𐍃𐌿 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌿𐍃𐌱𐌻𐌰𐌲𐌲𐍅. | Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌵𐌴𐌸𐌿𐌽: 𐌷𐌰𐌹𐌻𐍃 𐌸𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌴! 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌲𐌴𐌱𐌿𐌽 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐍃𐌻𐌰𐌷𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌻𐍉𐍆𐌹𐌽. | And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
𐌰𐍄𐌹𐌳𐌳𐌾𐌰 𐌰𐍆𐍄𐍂𐌰 𐌿𐍄 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌵𐌰𐌸 𐌹𐌼: 𐍃𐌰𐌹, 𐌰𐍄𐍄𐌹𐌿𐌷𐌰 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌿𐍄, 𐌴𐌹 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐌴𐌹𐌸 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌹𐌽 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐍉𐌷𐌿𐌽 𐍆𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌹𐌽𐍉 𐌱𐌹𐌲𐌰𐍄. | Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌿𐌷 𐌿𐍃𐌹𐌳𐌳𐌾𐌰 𐌿𐍄 𐌹𐌴𐍃𐌿𐍃 𐌱𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐌸𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌽𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌽 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍀 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌸𐍉 𐍀𐌰𐌿𐍂𐍀𐌿𐍂𐍉𐌳𐍉𐌽 𐍅𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌾𐌰. 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌵𐌰𐌸 𐌹𐌼: 𐍃𐌰 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐍃𐌰 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌽𐌰. | Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌿𐌷 𐌱𐌹𐌸𐌴 𐍃𐌴𐍈𐌿𐌽 𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌸𐌰𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌹𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌾𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌱𐌰𐌷𐍄𐍉𐍃, 𐌷𐍂𐍉𐍀𐌹𐌳𐌴𐌳𐌿𐌽 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃: 𐌿𐍃𐌷𐍂𐌰𐌼𐌴𐌹, 𐌿𐍃𐌷𐍂𐌰𐌼𐌴𐌹 𐌹𐌽𐌰! 𐌵𐌰𐌸 𐌹𐌼 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃: 𐌽𐌹𐌼𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌾𐌿𐍃 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌷𐍂𐌰𐌼𐌾𐌹𐌸. 𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌺 𐍆𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌹𐌽 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐌽𐌹 𐌱𐌹𐌲𐌹𐍄𐌰. | When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌷𐍉𐍆𐌿𐌽 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌴𐌹𐍃: 𐍅𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌸 𐌰𐌹𐌷𐌿𐌼, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌱𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐍅𐌹𐍄𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐌿𐌽𐍃𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌻 𐌲𐌰𐍃𐍅𐌹𐌻𐍄𐌰𐌽, 𐌿𐌽𐍄𐌴 𐍃𐌹𐌺 𐍃𐌹𐌻𐌱𐌰𐌽 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃 𐍃𐌿𐌽𐌿 𐌲𐌰𐍄𐌰𐍅𐌹𐌳𐌰. | The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
𐌱𐌹𐌸𐌴 𐌲𐌰𐌷𐌰𐌿𐍃𐌹𐌳𐌰 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌳, 𐌼𐌰𐌹𐍃 𐍉𐌷𐍄𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐍃. | When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌽 𐍀𐍂𐌰𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌹𐌰 𐌰𐍆𐍄𐍂𐌰 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌵𐌰𐌸 𐌳𐌿 𐌹𐌴𐍃𐌿𐌰: 𐍈𐌰𐌸𐍂𐍉 𐌹𐍃 𐌸𐌿? 𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌴𐍃𐌿𐍃 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌳𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐍆 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰. | And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌿𐌷 𐌵𐌰𐌸 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃: 𐌳𐌿 𐌼𐌹𐍃 𐌽𐌹 𐍂𐍉𐌳𐌴𐌹𐍃? 𐌽𐌹𐌿 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌿𐍆𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌷 𐌿𐍃𐌷𐍂𐌰𐌼𐌾𐌰𐌽 𐌸𐌿𐌺 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌿𐍆𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌷 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌻𐌴𐍄𐌰𐌽 𐌸𐌿𐌺? | Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌷𐍉𐍆 𐌹𐌴𐍃𐌿𐍃: 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌷𐍄𐌴𐌳𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌿𐍆𐌽𐌾𐌴 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌷𐌿𐌽 𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐌼𐌹𐌺, 𐌽𐌹𐌷 𐍅𐌴𐍃𐌹 𐌸𐌿𐍃 𐌰𐍄𐌲𐌹𐌱𐌰𐌽 𐌹𐌿𐍀𐌰𐌸𐍂𐍉; 𐌳𐌿𐌷𐌸𐌴 𐍃𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌴𐍅𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐌼𐌹𐌺 𐌸𐌿𐍃 𐌼𐌰𐌹𐌶𐌴𐌹𐌽 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌷𐍄 𐌷𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹𐌳. | Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌼𐌿𐌷 𐌸𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐍃𐍉𐌺𐌹𐌳𐌰 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌻𐌴𐍄𐌰𐌽 𐌹𐌽𐌰. 𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐌷𐍂𐍉𐍀𐌹𐌳𐌴𐌳𐌿𐌽 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃: 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌻𐌴𐍄𐌹𐍃, 𐌽𐌹 𐌹𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌹𐌾𐍉𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐌺𐌰𐌹𐍃𐌰𐍂𐌰; 𐍃𐌰𐍈𐌰𐌶𐌿𐌷 𐌹𐌶𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰𐌽 𐍃𐌹𐌺 𐍃𐌹𐌻𐌱𐌰𐌽 𐍄𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌸, 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌹𐌸 𐌺𐌰𐌹𐍃𐌰𐍂𐌰. | And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Cesar.
𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌿𐌷 𐍀𐌴𐌹𐌻𐌰𐍄𐌿𐍃 𐌷𐌰𐌿𐍃𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐌴 . . . . | When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
— | And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
— | But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cesar.
— | Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
— | And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
— | Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
— | And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
— | This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
— | Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
— | Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
— | Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
— | They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
— | Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
— | When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
— | Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
— | After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
— | Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
— | When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
— | The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
— | Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
— | But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
— | But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
— | And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
— | For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
— | And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
— | And after this Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
— | And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
— | Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
— | Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
— | There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
