절Gothic (Nehemiah NT Portions)King James Version
— Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
— Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
— Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
— The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
. . . . 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌰 𐌼𐌹𐍃𐍃𐍉, 𐌽𐌹𐌱𐌰 𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌿𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌵𐌹𐍃𐍃𐌰𐌹 𐍈𐍉 𐍈𐌴𐌹𐌻𐍉, 𐌴𐌹 𐌿𐌷𐍄𐌴𐌹𐌲𐌰𐌹 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐍆𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌽 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌱𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌽; 𐌸𐌰𐌸𐍂𐍉𐌸~𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐍃𐌰𐌼𐌰𐌸 𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌾𐌰𐌹𐌸, 𐌴𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌹 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌰 𐍃𐌰𐍄𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐌹𐌽 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌷𐍉𐌱𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌹𐍃 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌶𐍉𐍃. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌿𐌸~𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌺𐌿𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃, 𐌽𐌹 𐌱𐌹 𐌷𐌰𐌹𐍄𐌾𐌰𐌹. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
𐌹𐌸 𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌾𐌰𐌿 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌼𐌹𐌺 𐍃𐌹𐌻𐌱𐌰𐌽; 𐌰𐌺𐌴𐌹 𐍈𐌰𐍂𐌾𐌹𐌶𐌿𐌷 𐍃𐍅𐌴𐍃𐌰 𐌲𐌹𐌱𐌰 𐌷𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌼 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌰, 𐍃𐌿𐌼𐍃 𐍃𐍅𐌰, 𐍃𐌿𐌼𐍃𐌿𐌷 𐍃𐍅𐌰. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌿𐌽𐌵𐌴𐌽𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌼 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍅𐌹𐌳𐌿𐍅𐍉𐌼: 𐌲𐍉𐌸 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌹𐌼, 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐍃𐌹𐌽𐌳 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌹𐌺. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐌷𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐌺, 𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌿; 𐌱𐌰𐍄𐌹𐌶𐍉 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌽 𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌹𐌽𐍄𐌿𐌽𐌳𐌽𐌰𐌽. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
𐌹𐌸 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐍉𐌼 𐌷𐌰𐍆𐍄𐌰𐌼 𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌱𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐌹𐌺, 𐌰𐌺 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌰, 𐌵𐌴𐌽𐌰𐌹 𐍆𐌰𐌹𐍂𐍂𐌰 𐌰𐌱𐌹𐌽 𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌽. And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌲𐌰𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌽𐌰𐌹, 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽 𐌿𐌽𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰[𐌹], 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌳𐌿 𐌰𐌱𐌹𐌽 𐍃𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐌰𐍆𐍄𐍂𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌾𐌰𐌽, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌽 𐌵𐌴𐌽 𐌽𐌹 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌻𐌴𐍄𐌰𐌽. But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
𐌹𐌸 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌰𐌽𐌸𐌰𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌹𐌺 𐌵𐌹𐌸𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌰: 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐍈𐌰𐍃 𐌱𐍂𐍉𐌸𐌰𐍂 𐌵𐌴𐌽 𐌰𐌹𐌲𐌹 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌴𐌹𐌽, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍃𐍉 𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌾𐌰 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌱𐌰𐌿𐌰𐌽 𐌼𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌼𐌼𐌰, 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐍆𐌻𐌴𐍄𐌰𐌹 𐌸𐍉 𐌵𐌴𐌽; But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌵𐌴𐌽𐍃 𐍃𐍉𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐌹𐌲𐌹 𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌽 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍃𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌹𐌻𐌾𐌰 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌱𐌰𐌿𐌰𐌽 𐌼𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌶𐌰𐌹, 𐌽𐌹 𐌰𐍆𐌻𐌴𐍄𐌰𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌽𐌰 𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌽. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
𐍅𐌴𐌹𐌷𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌵𐌴𐌽𐍃 𐍃𐍉 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌴𐌹 𐌹𐌽 𐌰𐌱𐌹𐌽, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌴𐌹𐌷𐌰𐌹𐌳𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌰𐌱𐌰 𐍃𐌰 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐌹𐌽 𐌵𐌴𐌽𐌰𐌹; 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐌱𐌰𐍂𐌽𐌰 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌰 𐌿𐌽𐌷𐍂𐌰𐌹𐌽𐌾𐌰 𐍅𐌴𐍃𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰, 𐌹𐌸 𐌽𐌿 𐍅𐌴𐌹𐌷𐌰 𐍃𐌹𐌽𐌳. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
𐌹𐌸 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐍃𐌰 𐌿𐌽𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌾𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍃 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌹𐌸 𐍃𐌹𐌺, 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌹𐌳𐌰𐌹; 𐌽𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌲𐌰𐌸𐌹𐍅𐌰𐌹𐌳𐍃 𐌱𐍂𐍉𐌸𐌰𐍂 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐍃𐍅𐌹𐍃𐍄𐌰𐍂 𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐍃𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐌰𐌹𐌼; 𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌹𐌽 𐌲𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌾𐌰 𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐌿𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌿𐌸. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
𐍈𐌰 𐌽𐌿𐌺~𐌺𐌰𐌽𐌽𐍄 𐌸𐌿, 𐌵𐌹𐌽𐍉[𐌽], 𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌽 𐌲𐌰𐌽𐌰𐍃𐌾𐌰𐌹𐍃? 𐌰𐌹𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌿 𐍈𐌰 𐌺𐌰𐌽𐌽𐍄, 𐌲𐌿𐌼𐌰, 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌵𐌴𐌽 𐌸𐌴𐌹𐌽𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌽𐌰𐍃𐌾𐌰𐌹𐍃? For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
𐌽𐌹 𐌴𐌹, 𐍈𐌰𐍂𐌾𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌴𐌷 𐍃𐍅𐌰𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌲𐌰𐌳𐌰𐌹𐌻𐌹𐌳𐌰 𐌲𐌿𐌸, 𐌰𐌹𐌽𐍈𐌰𐍂𐌾𐌰𐍄𐍉𐌷 𐍃𐍅𐌰𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐌲𐌿𐌸, 𐍃𐍅𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌲𐌲𐌰𐌹; 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐍃𐍅𐌰 𐌹𐌽 𐌰𐌻𐌻𐌰𐌹𐌼 𐌰𐌹𐌺𐌺𐌻𐌴𐍃𐌾𐍉𐌼 𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌱𐌹𐌿𐌳𐌰. But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
𐌱𐌹𐌼𐌰𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌳𐌰 𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌸 𐍈𐌰𐍃, 𐌽𐌹 𐌿𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌺𐌾𐌰𐌹; 𐌼𐌹𐌸 𐍆𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌰𐍆𐌹𐌻𐌻𐌾𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌸𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐍂𐌸 𐍈𐌰𐍃, 𐌽𐌹 𐌱𐌹𐌼𐌰𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌹. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐌱𐌹𐌼𐌰𐌹𐍄 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐌷𐍄𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐍆𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌰𐍆𐌹𐌻𐌻𐌹 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐌷𐍄𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄, 𐌰𐌺 𐍆𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌿𐌱𐌽𐌾𐌰 𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌱𐌿𐍃𐌽𐌴 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌹𐍃. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
𐍈𐌰𐍂𐌾𐌹𐌶𐌿𐌷 𐌹𐌽 𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌽𐌰𐌹 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐌰𐌹𐌴𐌹 𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌸𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐍃, 𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐌰𐌹 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌰𐌹. Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌻𐌺𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌸𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐍃𐍄, 𐌽𐌹 𐌺𐌰𐍂𐍉𐍃; 𐌰𐌺𐌴𐌹 𐌸𐌰𐌿𐌷𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌲𐍄 𐍆𐍂𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰𐌽, 𐌼𐌰𐌹𐍃 𐌱𐍂𐌿𐌺𐌴𐌹. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
𐍃𐌰𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐌿𐌺 𐌹𐌽 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽 𐌷𐌰𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌻𐌺𐍃, 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌻𐌴𐍄𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄; 𐍃𐌰𐌼𐌰𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐍉 𐍃𐌰𐌴𐌹 𐍆𐍂𐌴𐌹𐍃 𐌷𐌰𐌹𐍄𐌰𐌳𐌰, 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌻𐌺𐍃 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐍇𐍂𐌹𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌿𐍃. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.
𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌱𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐌿𐍃𐌱𐌰𐌿𐌷𐍄𐌰𐌹 𐍃𐌹𐌾𐌿𐌸; 𐌽𐌹 𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐌰𐌹𐌸 𐍃𐌺𐌰𐌻𐌺𐍉𐍃 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌽𐌰𐌼. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
𐍈𐌰𐍂𐌾𐌹𐌶𐌿𐌷 𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌴𐌹 𐌰𐍄𐌻𐌰𐌸𐍉𐌸𐍃 𐍅𐌰𐍃, 𐌱𐍂𐍉𐌸𐍂𐌾𐌿𐍃, 𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌰𐌼𐌼𐌰 𐌲𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌹 𐌰𐍄 𐌲𐌿𐌳𐌰. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌱𐌹 𐌼𐌰𐌿𐌾𐍉𐍃 𐌰𐌽𐌰𐌱𐌿𐍃𐌽 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽𐍃 𐌽𐌹 𐌷𐌰𐌱𐌰; 𐌹𐌸 𐍂𐌰𐌲𐌹𐌽 𐌲𐌹𐌱𐌰 𐍃𐍅𐌴 𐌲𐌰𐌰𐍂𐌼𐌰𐌹𐌸𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌼 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐌿𐌾𐌹𐌽 𐌳𐌿 𐍄𐍂𐌹𐌲𐌲𐍅𐍃 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽. Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
𐌼𐌰𐌽 𐌽𐌿 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌰 𐌲𐍉𐌸 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽 𐌹𐌽 𐌸𐌹𐌶𐍉𐍃 𐌰𐌽𐌳𐍅𐌰𐌹𐍂𐌸𐍉𐌽𐍃 𐌸𐌰𐌿𐍂𐍆𐍄𐌰𐌹𐍃, 𐌸𐌰𐍄𐌴𐌹 𐌲𐍉𐌸 𐌹𐍃𐍄 𐌼𐌰𐌽𐌽 𐍃𐍅𐌰 𐍅𐌹𐍃𐌰𐌽: I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
𐌲𐌰𐌱𐌿𐌽𐌳𐌰𐌽𐍃 𐌹𐍃 𐌵𐌴𐌽𐌰𐌹, 𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐍉𐌺𐌴𐌹 𐌻𐌰𐌿𐍃𐌾𐌰𐌽; 𐌲𐌰𐌻𐌰𐌿𐍃𐌹𐌸𐍃 𐌹𐍃 𐌵𐌴𐌽𐌰𐌹, 𐌽𐌹 𐍃𐍉𐌺𐌴𐌹 𐌵𐌴𐌽. Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
𐌰𐌸𐌸𐌰𐌽 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌽𐌹𐌼𐌹𐍃 𐌵𐌴𐌽, 𐌽𐌹 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌷𐍄𐌴𐍃, 𐌾𐌰𐌷 𐌾𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌹 𐌻𐌹𐌿𐌲𐌰𐌳𐌰 𐌼𐌰𐍅𐌹, 𐌽𐌹 𐍆𐍂𐌰𐍅𐌰𐌿𐍂𐌷𐍄𐌰, 𐌹𐌸 𐌰𐌲𐌻𐍉𐌽 𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐌹𐍃 𐌲𐌰𐍃𐍄𐌰𐌻𐌳𐌰𐌽𐌳 𐌸𐍉 𐍃𐍅𐌰𐌻𐌴𐌹𐌺𐌰. 𐌹𐌸 𐌹𐌺 𐌹𐌶𐍅𐌹𐍃 𐍆𐍂𐌴𐌹𐌳𐌾𐌰 . . . . But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
— But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
— And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
— And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
— But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
— But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
— There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
— And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
— But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
— Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
— So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
— The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
— But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
