A Prayer of Thanks for Victory
Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good, and his love is eternal.
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
Let the people of Israel say, “His love is eternal.” Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
Let the priests of God say, “His love is eternal.” Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
Let all who worship him say, “His love is eternal.” Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
In my distress I called to the Lord; he answered me and set me free. I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
The Lord is with me, I will not be afraid; what can anyone do to me? The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
It is the Lord who helps me, and I will see my enemies defeated. The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
It is better to trust in the Lord than to depend on people. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord than to depend on human leaders. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
Many enemies were around me; but I destroyed them by the power of the Lord! All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.
They were around me on every side; but I destroyed them by the power of the Lord! They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
They swarmed around me like bees, but they burned out as quickly as a brush fire; by the power of the Lord I destroyed them. They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
I was fiercely attacked and was being defeated, but the Lord helped me. Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
The Lord makes me powerful and strong; he has saved me. The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
Listen to the glad shouts of victory in the tents of God's people: “The Lord's mighty power has done it! The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
His power has brought us victory— his mighty power in battle!” The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
I will not die; instead, I will live and proclaim what the Lord has done. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
He has punished me severely, but he has not let me die. The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
Open to me the gates of the Temple; I will go in and give thanks to the Lord! Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
This is the gate of the Lord; only the righteous can come in. This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.
I praise you, Lord, because you heard me, because you have given me victory. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
The stone which the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
This was done by the Lord; what a wonderful sight it is! This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the day of the Lord's victory; let us be happy, let us celebrate! This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Save us, Lord, save us! Give us success, O Lord! Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
May God bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord! From the Temple of the Lord we bless you. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
The Lord is God; he has been good to us. With branches in your hands, start the festival and march around the altar. God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I give you thanks; I will proclaim your greatness. Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good, and his love is eternal. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
