절Good News Translation (1992)King James Version
1 From Paul, whose call to be an apostle did not come from human beings or by human means, but from Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from death. Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
2 All the believers who are here join me in sending greetings to the churches of Galatia: And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
3 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 In order to set us free from this present evil age, Christ gave himself for our sins, in obedience to the will of our God and Father. Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To God be the glory forever and ever! Amen. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6
The One Gospel
I am surprised at you! In no time at all you are deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ, and are accepting another gospel.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Actually, there is no “other gospel,” but I say this because there are some people who are upsetting you and trying to change the gospel of Christ. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel that is different from the one we preached to you, may he be condemned to hell! But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 We have said it before, and now I say it again: if anyone preaches to you a gospel that is different from the one you accepted, may he be condemned to hell! As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 Does this sound as if I am trying to win human approval? No indeed! What I want is God's approval! Am I trying to be popular with people? If I were still trying to do so, I would not be a servant of Christ. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11
How Paul Became an Apostle
Let me tell you, my friends, that the gospel I preach is not of human origin.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 I did not receive it from any human being, nor did anyone teach it to me. It was Jesus Christ himself who revealed it to me. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 You have been told how I used to live when I was devoted to the Jewish religion, how I persecuted without mercy the church of God and did my best to destroy it. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 I was ahead of most other Jews of my age in my practice of the Jewish religion, and was much more devoted to the traditions of our ancestors. And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But God in his grace chose me even before I was born, and called me to serve him. And when he decided But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 to reveal his Son to me, so that I might preach the Good News about him to the Gentiles, I did not go to anyone for advice, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
17 nor did I go to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me. Instead, I went at once to Arabia, and then I returned to Damascus. Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 It was three years later that I went to Jerusalem to obtain information from Peter, and I stayed with him for two weeks. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
19 I did not see any other apostle except James, the Lord's brother. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
20 What I write is true. God knows that I am not lying! Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
21 Afterward I went to places in Syria and Cilicia. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 At that time the members of the churches in Judea did not know me personally. And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ:
23 They knew only what others were saying: “The man who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith that he once tried to destroy!” But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
24 And so they praised God because of me. And they glorified God in me.
