1	Die Söhne Israels (Jakobs) Die Söhne Israels waren: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, Sebulon,	These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2	Dan, Josef, Benjamin, Naftali, Gad und Ascher. (.)	Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3	Die Nachkommen von Juda Die Söhne Judas waren: Er, Onan und Schela. Diese drei hatte ihm die Tochter von Schua, eine Kanaaniterin, geboren. Aber Er, sein Erstgeborener, tat, was dem Herrn missfällt, und der Herr ließ ihn sterben.	The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord; and he slew him.
4	Judas Schwiegertochter Tamar gebar ihm dann noch Perez und Serach. Insgesamt hatte Juda fünf Söhne.	And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
5	Die Söhne von Perez waren: Hezron und Hamul.	The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.
6	Die Söhne von Serach: Simri, Etan, Heman, Kalkol und Darda.	And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
7	Simri hatte einen Sohn namens Karmi; dessen Sohn war Achan. Der stürzte Israel ins Unglück, denn er vergriff sich an Beutegut, das Gott geweiht war.	And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
8	Etan hatte einen Sohn namens Asarja.	And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

10	Die Nachkommen von Ram Ram zeugte Amminadab, Amminadab zeugte Nachschon, das Oberhaupt des Stammes Juda.	And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;
11	Nachschon zeugte Salmon, Salmon Boas,	And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
12	Boas Obed, Obed Isai.	And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

16	Die sieben hatten zwei Schwestern: Zeruja und Abigal. Zeruja hatte drei Söhne: Abischai, Joab und Asaël.	Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.
17	Abigal gebar Amasa; dessen Vater war der Ismaëliter Jeter.	And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.
18	Die Nachkommen Kalebs Kaleb, der Sohn Hezrons, hatte aus seiner ersten Ehe mit Asuba eine Tochter namens Jeriot. Deren Söhne waren Jescher, Schobab und Ardon.	And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19	Nach Asubas Tod verheiratete Kaleb sich mit Efrata, die gebar ihm Hur.	And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.
20	Hur zeugte Uri und Uri zeugte Bezalel.	And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.
21	Später heiratete Kalebs Vater Hezron noch einmal im Alter von 60 Jahren. Seine Frau, eine Tochter Machirs, des Stammvaters von Gilead, gebar ihm Segub.	And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.
22	Segub zeugte Jaïr. Ihm gehörten 23 Ortschaften im Land Gilead, die »die Dörfer Jaïrs« genannt wurden.	And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.
23	Aber die Geschuriter und Syrer nahmen sie ihm ab, ebenso die Stadt Kenat mit den dazugehörenden Dörfern, insgesamt 60 Orte, die alle den Nachkommen Machirs gehört hatten.	And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
24	Nach dem Tod Hezrons, dessen Frau Abija hieß, schlief Kaleb mit Efrata und sie gebar ihm Aschhur, den Stammvater von Tekoa.	And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb–ephratah, then Abiah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.
25	Die Nachkommen Jerachmeëls Jerachmeël, der erstgeborene Sohn Hezrons, hatte folgende Söhne: Ram, seinen Erstgeborenen, dann Buna, Oren, Ozem und Ahija.	And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.
26	Er hatte noch eine zweite Frau namens Atara, die war die Mutter seines Sohnes Onam.	Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27	Die Söhne seines Erstgeborenen Ram waren: Maaz, Jamin und Eker.	And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
28	Die Söhne Onams waren: Schammai und Jada. Die Söhne von Schammai: Nadab und Abischur.	And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.
29	Die Frau Abischurs hieß Abihajil, sie gebar ihm die Söhne Achban und Molid.	And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.
30	Die Söhne Nadabs waren: Seled und Appajim. Seled starb, ohne Kinder zu hinterlassen.	And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.
31	Der Sohn Appajims war Jischi, der Sohn Jischis Scheschan und der Sohn Scheschans war Achlai.	And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.
32	Jada, der Bruder von Schammai, hatte zwei Söhne: Jeter und Jonatan. Jeter starb kinderlos.	And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.
33	Die Söhne Jonatans waren: Pelet und Sasa. Diese alle waren Nachkommen Jerachmeëls.	And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34	Scheschan hatte übrigens keine Söhne, sondern nur Töchter.	Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.
35	Eine von ihnen gab er seinem ägyptischen Sklaven Jarha zur Frau und sie gebar ihm Attai.	And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.
36	—	And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,
37	—	And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,
38	—	And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,
39	—	And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,
40	—	And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,
41	Attai zeugte Natan, Natan zeugte Sabad, Sabad Eflal, weiter folgten in direkter Linie Obed, Jehu, Asarja, Helez, Elasa, Sismai, Schallum, Jekamja und Elischama.	And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
42	Weitere Listen von Nachkommen Kalebs Die Söhne Kalebs, des Bruders von Jerachmeël, waren: Mescha, sein Erstgeborener, der Stammvater von Sif, und als zweiter Marescha, der Stammvater von Hebron.	Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43	Die Söhne Hebrons waren: Korach, Tappuach, Rekem und Schema.	And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44	Schema zeugte Raham, den Stammvater von Jorkoam. Rekem zeugte Schammai,	And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.
45	dessen Sohn war Maon, der Stammvater von Bet-Zur.	And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth–zur.
46	Efa, eine Nebenfrau Kalebs, gebar ihm die Söhne Haran, Moza und Gases. Haran zeugte Jahdai;	And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.
47	dessen Söhne waren: Regem, Jotam, Geschan, Pelet, Efa und Schaaf.	And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48	Maacha, eine andere Nebenfrau Kalebs, gebar ihm Scheber und Tirhana,	Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.
49	später auch Schaaf, den Stammvater von Madmanna, und Schewa, den Stammvater von Machbena und von Gibea. Kaleb hatte auch eine Tochter Achsa.	She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50	Eine Liste der Nachkommen Kalebs: Die Söhne von Hur, dem Erstgeborenen von Kalebs Frau Efrata: Schobal, der Gründer von Kirjat-Jearim,	These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim,
51	Salmon, der Stammvater von Betlehem, und Haref, der Stammvater von Bet-Gader.	Salma the father of Beth–lehem, Hareph the father of Beth–gader.
52	Schobal, der Stammvater von Kirjat-Jearim, hatte als Nachkommen die Sippe Reaja und die Hälfte der Bewohner von Manahat.	And Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.
53	In Kirjat-Jearim wohnten die Sippen der Jeteriter, Putiter, Schumatiter und Mischraïter. Von ihnen stammten auch die Bewohner von Zora und Eschtaol ab.	And the families of Kirjath–jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.
54	Die Nachkommen Salmons waren: die Bewohner von Betlehem, von Netofa und Atrot-Bet-Joab sowie die andere Hälfte der Bewohner von Manahat, die aus Zora kamen.	The sons of Salma; Beth–lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.
55	In Jabez wohnten die Tiratiter, Schimatiter und Suchatiter. Diese Sippen waren aus Sofer gekommen. Sie gehörten alle zu den Kenitern und stammten von Hammat ab, dem Stammvater von Bet-Rechab.	And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
