1	Die Räume für die Priester Der Mann führte mich in den äußeren Vorhof hinaus, und zwar auf die Nordseite. Dort lag ein Gebäude mit einzelnen Räumen, rechts neben dem Bau hinter dem Tempel und dem freien Platz vor diesem Bau.	Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north.
2	Es war 100 Ellen lang und 50 Ellen breit; der Zugang befand sich auf der Langseite im Norden.	Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.
3	Der Bau stieß auf der einen Seite an den freien Platz auf der Rückseite des Tempels und auf der anderen Seite an das Pflaster, das um den äußeren Vorhof führt. Er erhob sich in drei terrassenförmig gestuften Stockwerken.	Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories.
4	Auf der Nordseite des Baus lief ein 10 Ellen breiter Gang; auf dieser Seite waren auch die Eingänge. Zum inneren Vorhof führte ein Durchgang, eine Elle breit.	And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.
5	—	Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.
6	Weil der Bau terrassenförmig angelegt war, wurden die Räume von Stockwerk zu Stockwerk kleiner. Der Bau hatte keine Arkaden wie die Hallen, die rings um den äußeren Vorhof lagen.	For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.
7	—	And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.
8	Den Gang auf der Eingangsseite begrenzte gegen den äußeren Vorhof eine Mauer. Sie reichte 50 Ellen weit in den äußeren Vorhof hinein und setzte sich nach hinten in der Wand der Hallen am Rand dieses Vorhofs fort. Das Gebäude selbst war 100 Ellen lang.	For the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were an hundred cubits.
9	Der mauergesäumte Gang war vom äußeren Vorhof aus zugänglich, und zwar von Osten.	And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court.
10	Auch auf der Südseite grenzte an die Mauer des äußeren Vorhofs ein Gebäude mit einzelnen Räumen, links neben dem Bau hinter dem Tempel und dem freien Platz vor diesem Bau,	The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building.
11	und auch hier führte ein Gang an der Eingangsfront entlang. Das Gebäude glich in allem dem auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite,	And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.
12	auch der Zugang war entsprechend angelegt; ein von einer Mauer flankierter Gang führte aus dem äußeren Vorhof zu den Eingangstüren, ebenfalls im Osten.	And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.
13	Der Mann sagte zu mir: »Die Räume dieser beiden Gebäude, die durch den freien Platz hinter dem Tempel getrennt werden, sind für die Priester bestimmt, die im Tempel in nächster Nähe des Herrn ihren Dienst tun. Hier an diesem heiligen Ort essen sie von ihrem Anteil an den Opfergaben die Teile, die besonders heilig sind. Dorthin sollen sie von ihrem Anteil an den Opfergaben alles bringen, was besonders heilig ist: ihren Anteil an den Speiseopfern, Schuldopfern und Wiedergutmachungsopfern; denn es ist ein heiliger Ort.	Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.
14	Wenn die Priester ihren Dienst im Heiligtum verrichtet haben, dürfen sie anschließend nicht sofort zum übrigen Volk in den äußeren Vorhof gehen. Sie müssen zuvor in diesen Räumen die Kleidung ablegen, in der sie dem Herrn genaht sind. Kein Unbefugter darf damit in Berührung kommen. Sie dürfen erst unters Volk gehen, nachdem sie sich umgezogen haben.«	When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.
15	Der Gesamtumfang des Tempelbezirks Als der Mann, der mich führte, den Tempel und seine Vorhöfe vermessen hatte, ging er mit mir durch das Osttor nach draußen und maß den äußeren Umfang des Tempelbezirks.	Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.
16	—	He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
17	—	He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
18	—	He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.
19	—	He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
20	Der ganze Bezirk war ringsum von einer Mauer umgeben. Der Mann maß mit seiner Messlatte zuerst die Ostseite aus; sie war 500 Ellen lang. Dann maß er die drei übrigen Seiten; auch sie waren je 500 Ellen. Die Mauer von 500 Ellen im Geviert bildet eine Scheidewand zwischen der heiligen Stätte und dem übrigen Land.	He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.
