| 2 | O Signore, riscuoti l’anima mia dalle labbra bugiarde, E dalla lingua frodolente. | Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. |
| 3 | Che ti darà, e che ti aggiungerà La lingua frodolente? | What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? |
| 4 | Ella è simile a saette acute, tratte da un uomo prode; Ovvero anche a brace di ginepro. | Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. |
