|---|---|---|
Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
불이 섶을 사르며 불이 물을 끓임 같게 하사 주의 원수들이 주의 이름을 알게 하시며 이방 나라들로 주 앞에서 떨게 하옵소서 | As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
주 외에는 자기를 앙망하는 자를 위하여 이런 일을 행한 신을 옛부터 들은 자도 없고 귀로 들은 자도 없고 눈으로 본 자도 없었나이다 | For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
주께서 기쁘게 공의를 행하는 자와 주의 길에서 주를 기억하는 자를 선대하시거늘 우리가 범죄하므로 주께서 진노하셨사오며 이 현상이 이미 오래 되었사오니 우리가 어찌 구원을 얻을 수 있으리이까 | Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
무릇 우리는 다 부정한 자 같아서 우리의 의는 다 더러운 옷 같으며 우리는 다 잎사귀 같이 시들므로 우리의 죄악이 바람 같이 우리를 몰아가나이다 | But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
주의 이름을 부르는 자가 없으며 스스로 분발하여 주를 붙잡는 자가 없사오니 이는 주께서 우리에게 얼굴을 숨기시며 우리의 죄악으로 말미암아 우리가 소멸되게 하셨음이니이다 | And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.
But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O Lord? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
