절	개역개정판 (1998)	King James Version
1	고라 하나님이여 주께서 우리 조상들의 날 곧 옛날에 행하신 일을 그들이 우리에게 일러 주매 우리가 우리 귀로 들었나이다	We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
2	주께서 주의 손으로 뭇 백성을 내쫓으시고 우리 조상들을 이 땅에 뿌리 박게 하시며 주께서 다른 민족들은 고달프게 하시고 우리 조상들은 번성하게 하셨나이다	How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
3	그들이 자기 칼로 땅을 얻어 차지함이 아니요 그들의 팔이 그들을 구원함도 아니라 오직 주의 오른손과 주의 팔과 주의 얼굴의 빛으로 하셨으니 주께서 그들을 기뻐하신 까닭이니이다	For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
4	하나님이여 주는 나의 왕이시니 야곱에게 구원을 베푸소서	Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
5	우리가 주를 의지하여 우리 대적을 누르고 우리를 치러 일어나는 자를 주의 이름으로 밟으리이다	Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6	나는 내 활을 의지하지 아니할 것이라 내 칼이 나를 구원하지 못하리이다	For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7	오직 주께서 우리를 우리 원수들에게서 구원하시고 우리를 미워하는 자로 수치를 당하게 하셨나이다	But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
8	우리가 종일 하나님을 자랑하였나이다 우리는 하나님의 이름에 영원히 감사하리이다 (셀라)	In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
9	그러나 이제는 주께서 우리를 버려 욕을 당하게 하시고 우리 군대와 함께 나아가지 아니하시나이다	But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
10	주께서 우리를 대적들에게서 돌아서게 하시니 우리를 미워하는 자가 자기를 위하여 탈취하였나이다	Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
11	주께서 우리를 잡아먹힐 양처럼 그들에게 넘겨 주시고 여러 민족 중에 우리를 흩으셨나이다	Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
12	주께서 주의 백성을 헐값으로 파심이여 그들을 판 값으로 이익을 얻지 못하셨나이다	Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
13	주께서 우리로 하여금 이웃에게 욕을 당하게 하시니 그들이 우리를 둘러싸고 조소하고 조롱하나이다	Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
14	주께서 우리를 뭇 백성 중에 이야기거리가 되게 하시며 민족 중에서 머리 흔듦을 당하게 하셨나이다	Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
15	나의 능욕이 종일 내 앞에 있으며 수치가 내 얼굴을 덮었으니	My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
16	나를 비방하고 욕하는 소리 때문이요 나의 원수와 나의 복수자 때문이니이다	For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
17	이 모든 일이 우리에게 임하였으나 우리가 주를 잊지 아니하며 주의 언약을 어기지 아니하였나이다	All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
18	우리의 마음은 위축되지 아니하고 우리 걸음도 주의 길을 떠나지 아니하였으나	Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
19	주께서 우리를 승냥이의 처소에 밀어 넣으시고 우리를 사망의 그늘로 덮으셨나이다	Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
20	우리가 우리 하나님의 이름을 잊어버렸거나 우리 손을 이방 신에게 향하여 폈더면	If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21	하나님이 이를 알아내지 아니하셨으리이까 무릇 주는 마음의 비밀을 아시나이다	Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22	우리가 종일 주를 위하여 죽임을 당하게 되며 도살할 양 같이 여김을 받았나이다	Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
23	주여 깨소서 어찌하여 주무시나이까 일어나시고 우리를 영원히 버리지 마소서	Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
24	어찌하여 주의 얼굴을 가리시고 우리의 고난과 압제를 잊으시나이까	Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
25	우리 영혼은 진토 속에 파묻히고 우리 몸은 땅에 붙었나이다	For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
26	일어나 우리를 도우소서 주의 인자하심으로 말미암아 우리를 구원하소서	Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake.
