| 1 | Herra, sinä olet minun Jumalani, sinua minä ylistän, minä kiitän sinun nimeäs; sillä sinä teet ihmeitä: sinun vanhat aivoitukses ovat uskolliset ja todet. | O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. |
| 2 | Sillä sinä teet kaupungin kiviraunioksi, sen vahvan kaupungin, että hän läjässä on; muukalaisten palatsit, niin ettei ne enää ole kaupungit, eikä ikänä enää rakenneta. | For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. |
