| 1 | Moseksen Jumalan miehen rukous. Herra, sinä olet meidän turvamme, suvusta sukuun. | Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. |
| 2 | Ennenkuin vuoret olivat, eli maa ja maailma luotiin, olet sinä Jumala ijankaikkisesta ijankaikkiseen, | Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. |
| 3 | Sinä, joka annat ihmiset kuolla, ja sanot: tulkaat jälleen, te ihmisten lapset. | Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. |
| 4 | Sillä tuhat ajastaikaa ovat sinun edessäs niinkuin eilinen päivä, joka meni ohitse, ja niinkuin vartio yöllä. | For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. |

| 8 | Sillä meidän pahat tekomme sinä asetat etees, meidän tuntemattomat syntimme valkeuteen sinun kasvois eteen. | Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. |
| 9 | Sentähden kuluvat kaikki meidän päivämme sinun vihastas: meidän vuotemme loppuvat pikemmin kuin juttu. | For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. |
| 10 | Meidän elinaikamme on seitsemänkymmentä vuotta, taikka enintään kahdeksankymmentä vuotta: ja kuin se paras on ollut, niin on se tuska ja työ ollut: sillä se leikataan pois. niinkuin me lentäisimme pois. | The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. |
| 11 | Mutta kuka uskoo sinun niin raskaasti vihastuvan? ja kuka pelkää senkaltaista hirmuisuuttas? | Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. |
| 12 | Opeta meitä ajattelemaan, että meidän pitää kuoleman, että me ymmärtäväisiksi tulisimme. | So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. |
| 13 | Herra! käännä siis itses taas meidän puoleemme, ja ole palvelioilles armollinen. | Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. |
| 14 | Täytä meitä pian armoillas, niin me riemuitsemme ja iloitsemme kaikkena meidän elinaikanamme. | O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. |
| 15 | Ilahuta nyt meitä jälleen, ettäs meitä niin kauvan vaivannut olet, että me niin kauvan onnettomuutta kärsineet olemme. | Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. |
| 16 | Osoita palvelialles sinun tekos, ja kunnias heidän lapsillensa. | Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. |
| 17 | Ja, Herra meidän Jumalamme olkoon meille leppyinen, ja vahvistakoon meidän kättemme teot meissä: jaa, meidän kättemme teot hän vahvistakoon! | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |
