| 2 | He ovat usein minua ahdistaneet, hamasta nuoruudestani; mutta ei he minua voittaneet. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | Kyntäjät ovat minun selkäni päällä kyntäneet, ja vakonsa pitkäksi vetäneet. | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | Herra, joka vanhurskas on, on jumalattomain köydet katkonut. | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
| 5 | Tulkoon häpiään ja kääntyköön takaperin kaikki, jotka Zionia vihaavat. | Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. |
