| 2 | Armo ja rauha lisääntyköön teille, Jumalan ja meidän Herran Jesuksen Kristuksen tuntemisen kautta! | Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, |

| 12 | Sentähden en minä tahdo unohtaa teille aina näistä muistuttaa, vaikka te tiedätte ja vahvistetut olette tässä nykyisessä totuudessa. | Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. |

| 16 | Sillä emmepä me ole kavaloita juttuja noudatelleet, teille tiettäväksi tehdessämme meidän Herran Jesuksen Kristuksen voimaa ja tulemista; vaan me olemme itse nähneet hänen suuren kunniansa, | For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. |
