| 1 | Sillä katso, se päivä tulee, joka on palava niinkuin pätsi: silloin pitää kaikki ylönkatsojat ja jumalattomat olkena oleman, ja se tuleva päivä pitää heidät sytyttämän, sanoo Herra Zebaot, ja ei pidä heille jättämän juurta eikä oksaa. | For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. |
| 2 | Mutta teille, jotka minun nimeäni pelkäätte, on vanhurskauden aurinko koittava, ja autuus hänen siipeinsä alla; ja teidän pitää käymän ulos ja sisälle, lisääntymän niinkuin syöttiläät vasikat. | But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. |
