| 1 | Glückselig der Mann, der nicht wandelt im Rate der Gottlosen, und nicht steht auf dem Wege der Sünder, und nicht sitzt auf dem Sitze der Spötter, | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. |
| 2 | sondern seine Lust hat am Gesetz Jehovas und über sein Gesetz sinnt Tag und Nacht! | But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. |
| 3 | Und er ist wie ein Baum, gepflanzt an Wasserbächen, der seine Frucht bringt zu seiner Zeit, und dessen Blatt nicht verwelkt; und alles, was er tut, gelingt. | And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. |
| 4 | Nicht so die Gesetzlosen, sondern sie sind wie die Spreu, die der Wind dahintreibt. | The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. |
| 5 | Darum werden die Gesetzlosen nicht bestehen im Gericht, noch die Sünder in der Gemeinde der Gerechten. | Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. |
| 6 | Denn Jehova kennt den Weg der Gerechten; aber der Gesetzlosen Weg wird vergehen. | For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. |
