| 1 | Bewahre mich, Gott, denn ich traue auf dich! | Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. |
| 2 | Du, meine Seele, hast zu Jehova gesagt: Du bist der Herr; meine Güte reicht nicht hinauf zu dir. | O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; |
| 3 | Du hast zu den Heiligen gesagt, die auf Erden sind, und zu den Herrlichen: An ihnen ist alle meine Lust. | But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. |
| 4 | Viele werden der Schmerzen derer sein, die einem anderen nacheilen; ihre Trankopfer von Blut werde ich nicht spenden, und ihre Namen nicht auf meine Lippen nehmen. | Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. |

| 7 | Jehova werde ich preisen, der mich beraten hat, selbst des Nachts unterweisen mich meine Nieren. | I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. |
| 8 | Ich habe Jehova stets vor mich gestellt; weil er zu meiner Rechten ist, werde ich nicht wanken. | I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. |
| 9 | Darum freut sich mein Herz, und frohlockt meine Seele. Auch mein Fleisch wird in Sicherheit ruhen. | Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. |
| 10 | Denn meine Seele wirst du dem Scheol nicht lassen, wirst nicht zugeben, daß dein Frommer die Verwesung sehe. | For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. |
| 11 | Du wirst mir kundtun den Weg des Lebens; Fülle von Freuden ist vor deinem Angesicht, Lieblichkeiten in deiner Rechten immerdar. | Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. |
