| 2 | Israel freue sich seines Schöpfers; die Kinder Zions sollen frohlocken über ihren König! | Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. |
| 3 | Loben sollen sie seinen Namen mit Reigen, mit Tamburin und Laute ihm Psalmen singen! | Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. |
| 4 | Denn Jehova hat Wohlgefallen an seinem Volke; er schmückt die Sanftmütigen mit Rettung. | For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. |
| 5 | Es sollen jubeln die Frommen in Herrlichkeit, jauchzen auf ihren Lagern! | Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. |

| 8 | Ihre Könige zu binden mit Ketten, und ihre Edlen mit eisernen Fesseln; | To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; |
