| 1 | For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are the holy mountains: | Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy. |
| 2 | The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob. | Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. |
| 3 | Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God. | Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. |
| 4 | I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there. | Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. |
| 5 | Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her. | For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. |
| 6 | The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her. | Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. |
| 7 | The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing. | In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. |
