|---|---|---|
Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title. | Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
If in very deed ye speak justice: judge right things, ye sons of men. | I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth. | He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things. | My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Their madness is according to the likeness of a serpent: like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ears: | Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
Which will not hear the voice of the charmers; nor of the wizard that charmeth wisely. | They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
God shall break in pieces their teeth in their mouth: the Lord shall break the grinders of the lions. | My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
They shall come to nothing, like water running down; he hath bent his bow till they be weakened. | Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
Like wax that melteth they shall be taken away: fire hath fallen on them, and they shall not see the sun. | I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
Before your thorns could know the brier; he swalloweth them up, as alive, in his wrath. | For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
The just shall rejoice when he shall see the revenge: he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner. | Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
And man shall say: If indeed there be fruit to the just: there is indeed a God that judgeth them on the earth. | —
