절Douay RheimsKing James Version
Unto the end, understanding for the sons of Core. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
As the hart panteth after the fountains of water; so my soul panteth after thee, O God. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God? The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
My tears have been my bread day and night, whilst it is said to me daily: Where is thy God? I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me: for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God: With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting. Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
And my God. My soul is troubled within my self: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermoniim, from the little hill. All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
Deep calleth on deep, at the noise of thy flood-gates. All thy heights and thy billows have passed over me. An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
In the daytime the Lord hath commanded his mercy; and a canticle to him in the night. With me is prayer to the God of my life. Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
I will say to God: Thou art my support. Why hast thou forgotten me? and why go I mourning, whilst my enemy afflicteth me? But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
Whilst my bones are broken, my enemies who trouble me have reproached me; Whilst they say to me day by day: Where is thy God? By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope thou in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, and my God. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
— Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
