| 2 | For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers. | He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. |
| 3 | Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place? | He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. |
| 4 | The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour. | Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. |
| 5 | He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour. | Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. |
