절Douay RheimsKing James Version
A gradual canticle. When the Lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted. They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south. Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
Going they went and wept, casting their seeds. —
But coming they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves. —
