1 Les fils de Lévi : Guershom, Kehath, et Merari. The sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
2 – Et ce sont ici les noms des fils de Guershom : Libni et Shimhi. And the sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.
3 Et les fils de Kehath : Amram, et Jitsehar, et Hébron, et Uziel. And the children of Amram; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
4 Les fils de Merari : Makhli et Mushi. – Ce sont là les familles de Lévi, selon leurs pères. Eleazar begat Phinehas, Phinehas begat Abishua,
5 De Guershom : Libni, son fils ; Jakhath, son fils ; Zimma, son fils ; And Abishua begat Bukki, and Bukki begat Uzzi,
6 Joakh, son fils ; Iddo, son fils ; Zérakh, son fils ; Jathraï, son fils. And Uzzi begat Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begat Meraioth,
7 Les fils de Kehath : Amminadab, son fils ; Coré, son fils ; Assir, son fils ; Meraioth begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,
8 Elkana, son fils ; et Ébiasaph, son fils ; et Assir, son fils ; And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,
9 Thakhath, son fils ; Uriel, son fils ; Ozias, son fils ; et Saül, son fils. And Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,
10 – Et les fils d’Elkana : Amasçaï et Akhimoth. And Johanan begat Azariah, (he it is that executed the priest’s office in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem:)
11 Elkana, – les fils d’Elkana : Tsophaï, son fils ; et Nakhath, son fils ; And Azariah begat Amariah, and Amariah begat Ahitub,
12 Éliab, son fils ; Jerokham, son fils ; Elkana, son fils. And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Shallum,
13 Et les fils de Samuel : le premier-né, Vashni, et Abija. And Shallum begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begat Azariah,
14 Les fils de Merari : Makhli ; Libni, son fils ; Shimhi, son fils ; Uzza, son fils ; And Azariah begat Seraiah, and Seraiah begat Jehozadak,
15 Shimha, son fils ; Hagguija, son fils ; Asçaïa, son fils. And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the Lord carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

19 fils d’Elkana, fils de Jerokham, fils d’Éliel, fils de Thoakh, The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers.
20 fils de Tsuph, fils d’Elkana, fils de Makhath, fils d’Amasçaï, Of Gershom; Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,
21 fils d’Elkana, fils de Joël, fils d’Azaria, fils de Sophonie, Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeaterai his son.
22 fils de Thakhath, fils d’Assir, fils d’Ébiasaph, fils de Coré, The sons of Kohath; Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,
23 fils de Jitsehar, fils de Kehath, fils de Lévi, fils d’Israël. Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son,
24 Et son frère Asaph, qui se tenait à sa droite : Asaph, fils de Bérékia, fils de Shimha, Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

28 fils de Jakhath, fils de Guershom, fils de Lévi. And the sons of Samuel; the firstborn Vashni, and Abiah.
29 Et les fils de Merari, leurs frères, à la gauche : Éthan, fils de Kishi, fils d’Abdi, fils de Malluc, The sons of Merari; Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzza his son,
30 fils de Hashabia, fils d’Amatsia, fils de Hilkija, Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.
31 fils d’Amtsi, fils de Bani, fils de Shémer, And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the Lord, after that the ark had rest.
32 fils de Makhli, fils de Mushi, fils de Merari, fils de Lévi. And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon had built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and then they waited on their office according to their order.

37 Meraïoth, son fils ; Amaria, son fils ; Akhitub, son fils ; The son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,
38 Tsadok, son fils ; Akhimaats, son fils. The son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
39 Et ce sont ici leurs habitations, selon leurs enclos, dans leurs confins. – Pour les fils d’Aaron, de la famille des Kehathites, car le sort tomba pour eux : And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berachiah, the son of Shimea,

48 [et] aux fils de Merari, selon leurs familles, par le sort, douze villes, de la tribu de Ruben, et de la tribu de Gad, et de la tribu de Zabulon. Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house of God.
49 Et les fils d’Israël donnèrent aux Lévites les villes et leurs banlieues. But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

51 Et pour les familles des fils de Kehath qui eurent les villes de leur territoire de la tribu d’Éphraïm, Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
52 on leur donna la ville de refuge : Sichem et sa banlieue, dans la montagne d’Éphraïm, et Guézer et sa banlieue, Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
53 et Jokmeam et sa banlieue, et Beth-Horon et sa banlieue, Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
54 et Ajalon et sa banlieue, et Gath-Rimmon et sa banlieue ; Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.
55 et de la demi-tribu de Manassé : Aner et sa banlieue, et Bilham et sa banlieue, – pour les familles des autres fils de Kehath. And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.
56 Aux fils de Guershom, [on donna], de la famille de la demi-tribu de Manassé : Golan, en Basan, et sa banlieue, et Ashtaroth et sa banlieue ; But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
57 et de la tribu d’Issacar : Kédesh et sa banlieue, Dobrath et sa banlieue, And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,
58 et Ramoth et sa banlieue, et Anem et sa banlieue ; And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,
59 et de la tribu d’Aser : Mashal et sa banlieue, et Abdon et sa banlieue, And Ashan with her suburbs, and Beth–shemesh with her suburbs:
60 et Hukok et sa banlieue, et Rehob et sa banlieue ; And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.
61 et de la tribu de Nephthali : Kédesh, en Galilée, et sa banlieue, et Hammon et sa banlieue, et Kiriathaïm et sa banlieue. And unto the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.
62 Aux fils de Merari qui restaient, [on donna], de la tribu de Zabulon : Rimmono et sa banlieue, [et] Thabor et sa banlieue ; And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
63 et au-delà du Jourdain de Jéricho, à l’orient du Jourdain, de la tribu de Ruben : Bétser, au désert, et sa banlieue, et Jahtsa et sa banlieue, Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
64 et Kedémoth et sa banlieue, et Méphaath et sa banlieue ; And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.
65 et de la tribu de Gad : Ramoth, en Galaad, et sa banlieue, et Mahanaïm et sa banlieue, And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.
66 et Hesbon et sa banlieue, et Jahzer et sa banlieue. And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.
67 — And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,
68 — And Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Beth–horon with her suburbs,
69 — And Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gath–rimmon with her suburbs:
70 — And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.
71 — Unto the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs:
72 — And out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,
73 — And Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs:
74 — And out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with her suburbs, and Abdon with her suburbs,
75 — And Hukok with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs:
76 — And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs.
77 — Unto the rest of the children of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs:
78 — And on the other side Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs, and Jahzah with her suburbs,
79 — Kedemoth also with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs:
80 — And out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
81 — And Heshbon with her suburbs, and Jazer with her suburbs.
