| 1 | 以色列 人 出 埃及 地以後，滿了三個 月 的那 一天，就來到 西奈 的曠野。 | In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai. |
| 2 | 他們離了 利非訂，來到 西奈 的曠野， 就在那裡 的山 下 安營。 | For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount. |
| 3 | 摩西 到 神那裡，耶和華 從 山上 呼喚 他 說：「你要這樣 告訴 雅各 家，曉諭 以色列 人說： | And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; |

| 6 | 你們 要歸我 作 祭司 的國度，為聖潔 的國民。』這些 話 你要告訴 以色列 人。」 | And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. |
| 7 | 摩西 去 召了 民間的 長老來，將 耶和華 所 吩咐他的 話 都 在他們面前 陳明。 | And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him. |
| 8 | 百姓 都 同聲 回答 說：「凡 耶和華 所 說的，我們都要遵行。」摩西 就將 百姓的 話 回覆 耶和華。 | And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord. |
| 9 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「 我 要在密 雲中 臨 到你那裡，叫 百姓 在我與你 說話 的時候可以聽見，也 可以永遠 信 你了。」於是，摩西 將 百姓 的話 奏告 耶和華。 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord. |

| 11 | 到第三 天 要 預備好了，因為 第三 天 耶和華 要在眾 百姓 眼前 降臨 在 西奈 山上。 | And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. |
| 12 | 你要在山的四圍 給 百姓 定界限，說：『你們 當謹慎，不可上 山去，也不可摸 山的邊界；凡 摸 這山的，必 要治死他。 | And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: |
| 13 | 不可 用手 摸 他， 必 用石頭打死，或 用箭射 透；無論是 人 是 牲畜，都不得 活。到角聲 拖長的時候，他們 才可到 山根來。』」 | There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. |
| 14 | 摩西 下 山 往 百姓那裡去，叫 他們 自潔，他們就洗 衣服。 | And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. |
| 15 | 他對 百姓 說：「到第三 天 要 預備好了。不可 親近 女人。」 | And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives. |
| 16 | 到了 第三 天 早晨，在 山 上有 雷轟、閃電，和密 雲，並且角 聲 甚 大， 營中 的百姓 盡都 發顫。 | And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. |
| 17 | 摩西 率領 百姓 出 營 迎接 神，都站 在山 下。 | And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. |
| 18 | 西奈 全 山 冒煙，因為 耶和華 在火中 降 於山上。山的煙氣 上騰，如燒窯 一般，遍 山 大大地 震動。 | And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. |
| 19 | 角 聲 漸漸地 高 而又高，摩西 就說話， 神 有聲音 答應他。 | And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. |
| 20 | 耶和華 降臨 在 西奈 山 頂 上，耶和華 召 摩西 上 山 頂，摩西 就上去。 | And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. |
| 21 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「你下去 囑咐 百姓，不可闖過來 到 我 面前觀看，恐怕 他們有 多人 死亡； | And the Lord said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the Lord to gaze, and many of them perish. |
| 22 | 又 叫親近 我 的祭司 自潔，恐怕 我 忽然出來擊殺 他們。」 | And let the priests also, which come near to the Lord, sanctify themselves, lest the Lord break forth upon them. |
| 23 | 摩西 對 耶和華 說：「百姓 不 能 上 西奈 山，因為 你 已經囑咐 我們 說：『要在山的四圍定界限，叫 山 成聖。』」 | And Moses said unto the Lord, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it. |
| 24 | 耶和華 對他 說：「下 去吧，你 要和亞倫 一同 上來；只是祭司 和百姓 不可 闖過來 上 到 我面前，恐怕 我忽然出來擊殺 他們。」 | And the Lord said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the Lord, lest he break forth upon them. |
| 25 | 於是摩西 下 到 百姓 那裡告訴 他們。 | So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them. |
