1 耶和華 對挪亞 說：「你 和你的全 家 都要進 入 方舟；因為 在這 世代中，我見 你 在我面前 是義人。 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 凡 潔淨的 畜類，你要帶 七 公 七 母； 不 潔淨的 畜類，你要帶一 公 一母； Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 空中 的飛鳥 也 要帶七 公 七 母，可以留種，活 在 全 地 上； Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 因為 再過 七 天，我要 降雨 在 地上 四十 晝 夜，把 我所 造的 各種 活物 都從 地 上 除滅。」 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5 挪亞 就遵著 耶和華 所 吩咐的 行了。 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6 當 洪 水 氾濫在 地上的時候，挪亞 整六 百 歲。 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 挪亞 就同 他的妻 和兒子 兒婦 都進 入 方舟，躲避 洪水。 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 潔淨的 畜類和 不 潔淨的 畜類，飛鳥 並地上 一切的 昆蟲， Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 都是一對 一對地，有公 有母，到 挪亞 那裡進 入 方舟，正如 神 所吩咐 挪亞的。 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 過了 那七 天，洪水氾濫 在 地上。 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 當 挪亞 六 百 歲，二 月 十七 日 那 一天，大 淵 的泉源 都 裂開了，天上的 窗戶 也敞開了， In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 四十 晝 夜 降大雨 在 地上。 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 正當 那 日，挪亞 和 他 三個兒子 閃、含、雅弗，並挪亞 的妻子 和三個 兒 婦，都進 入 方舟。 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 他們 和百 獸，各從其類，一切 牲畜，各從其類，爬 在 地上的 昆蟲，各從其類，一切 禽 鳥，各從其類，都進入方舟。 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 凡 有血肉、有氣息的 活物，都一對 一對地 到 挪亞那裡，進 入 方舟。 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 凡 有血肉 進入方舟的，都是 有公 有母，正如 神 所吩咐挪亞的。耶和華 就把他關在 方舟裡頭。 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
17 洪水 氾濫在 地上 四十 天，水 往上長，把 方舟 從 地上 漂 起。 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 水勢 浩大，在 地上 大大地 往上長，方舟 在 水 面上 漂來漂去。 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 水勢 在 地上 極其 浩大， 天 下 的 高 山 都 淹沒了。 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 水 勢比 山高過 十五 肘，山嶺 都淹沒了。 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 凡 在 地上 有血肉的 動物，就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸，和 爬 在 地上的 昆蟲，以及所有的 人，都死了。 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 凡 在旱地上、鼻孔 有氣息 的 生靈 都死了。 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 凡 地 上 各類的 活物，連人 帶 牲畜、 昆蟲，以及 空中的 飛鳥，都從 地上 除滅了，只 留下 挪亞 和那些 與他 同在方舟裡的。 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 水 勢浩大，在 地上 共一百 五十 天。 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
