| 3 | 薰 屍的常例是四十天；那四十 天 滿了，埃及人 為他 哀哭了 七十 天。 | And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days. |

| 8 | 還有約瑟 的全 家 和他的弟兄們，並他父親 的眷屬；只有 他們的婦人孩子，和羊群 牛群，都留 在歌珊 地。 | And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father’s house: only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen. |

| 11 | 迦南 的居民 見 亞達 禾場上 的 哀哭，就說：「這是 埃及人 一場極大的 哀哭。」因此 那地方名 叫亞伯‧麥西，是 在約旦河 東。 | And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abel–mizraim, which is beyond Jordan. |

| 13 | 把他 搬到 迦南 地，葬 在 幔利 前、麥比拉 田間 的洞裡；那洞和 田 是 亞伯拉罕 向 赫人 以弗崙 買來 為業，作墳地的。 | For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre. |
| 14 | 約瑟 葬了 他父親 以後，就 和眾弟兄，並一切 同他 上去 葬 他父親的人，都回 埃及去了。 | And Joseph returned into Egypt, he, and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father. |
| 15 | 約瑟 的哥哥們 見 父親 死了，就說：「或者 約瑟 懷恨我們，照著 我們從前待 他 一切的 惡 足足地 報復 我們。」 | And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. |
| 16 | 他們就打發人 去見 約瑟，說：「你父親 未死 以先 吩咐 說：『 | And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, |
| 17 | 你們要對約瑟 這樣 說： 從前你哥哥們 惡 待你，求 你 饒恕 他們的過犯 和罪惡。』如今 求你 饒恕 你父親 神 之僕人 的過犯。」他們對約瑟 說這話，約瑟 就哭了。 | So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. |
| 18 | 他的哥哥 們又 來 俯伏 在他面前，說：「 我們是你的 僕人。」 | And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. |
| 19 | 約瑟 對他們 說：「不要 害怕，我 豈 能代替 神呢？ | And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? |
| 20 | 從前你們 的意思 是要害 我，但 神 的意思 原是好的，要 保全 許多 人 的性命，成就 今 日的光景。 | But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. |
| 21 | 現在 你們不要 害怕，我必 養活 你們 和 你們的婦人孩子。」於是約瑟用 親愛 的話 安慰 他們。 | Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them. |
| 22 | 約瑟 和他父親 的眷屬 都住 在埃及。約瑟 活了 一百 一十 歲。 | And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father’s house: and Joseph lived an hundred and ten years. |
| 23 | 約瑟 得見 以法蓮 第三 代的子孫。瑪拿西 的孫子、瑪吉 的兒子 也 養 在 約瑟 的膝上。 | And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph’s knees. |
| 24 | 約瑟 對 他弟兄們 說：「我 要死了，但 神 必定 看顧 你們，領 你們 從 這 地上去，到 他起誓 所 應許給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各 之地。」 | And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. |
| 25 | 約瑟 叫 以色列 的子孫 起誓 說：「 神 必定 看顧 你們；你們要把 我的骸骨 從這裡 搬上去。」 | And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. |
| 26 | 約瑟 死了，正 一百 一十 歲。人用香料將他 薰了，把他收殮 在棺材裡，停在埃及。 | So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt. |
