| 1 | 約瑟 進去 告訴 法老 說：「我的父親 和我的弟兄 帶著羊群 牛群，並一切 所 有的，從迦南 地 來了，如今 在歌珊 地。」 | Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. |
| 2 | 約瑟從他弟兄 中 挑出 五 個人來，引他們去 見 法老。 | And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. |
| 3 | 法老 問 約瑟的弟兄 說：「你們以何 事為業？」他們對 法老 說：「你僕人 是牧 羊的，連 我們 的祖宗 也是牧羊的。」 | And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. |
| 4 | 他們又對 法老 說：「 迦南 地 的饑荒 甚大， 僕人 的 羊群 沒有 草吃，所以我們來到 這地 寄居。現在 求你 容僕人 住在 歌珊 地。」 | They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen. |

| 6 | 埃及 地 都在 你面前，只管叫 你父親 和 你弟兄 住在 國中最好的 地；他們可以住在 歌珊 地。你若 知道 他們中間 有 甚麼能 人，就派他們 看管我的 牲畜。」 | The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle. |
| 7 | 約瑟 領 他父親 雅各 進到 法老 面前，雅各 就給 法老 祝福。 | And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh. |
| 8 | 法老 問 雅各 說：「你平生 的年 日 是多少呢？」 | And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou? |
| 9 | 雅各 對 法老 說：「我寄居 在世的年 日 是一百 三十 歲，我平生 的年 日 又 少 又苦，不 及 我列祖 在世 寄居 的 年 日。」 | And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage. |
| 10 | 雅各 又給 法老 祝福，就從法老 面前 出去了。 | And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh. |
| 11 | 約瑟 遵著 法老 的命，把埃及 國 最好的 地，就是蘭塞 境內的地，給 他父親 和 弟兄 居住，作為 產業。 | And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. |
| 12 | 約瑟 用糧食 奉養 他父親 和 他弟兄，並 他父親 全 家的眷屬，都是照各家 的人口奉養他們。 | And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families. |
| 13 | 饑荒 甚 大，全 地 都絕了 糧，甚至埃及 地 和迦南 地 的人因 那饑荒 的緣故都餓昏了。 | And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. |
| 14 | 約瑟 收聚了 埃及 地 和迦南 地 所有的 銀子，就是 眾人 糴 糧的銀子，約瑟 就把 那銀子 帶 到法老 的宮裡。 | And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house. |
| 15 | 埃及 地 和迦南 地 的銀子 都花盡了，埃及 眾人 都來 見 約瑟，說：「 我們的銀子 都用盡了，求你給 我們 糧食，我們為甚麼 死 在你面前呢？」 | And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. |
| 16 | 約瑟 說：「若 是銀子 用盡了，可以把你們的牲畜 給我，我就為你們的牲畜 給 你們糧食。」 | And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. |
| 17 | 於是他們把 牲畜 趕 到 約瑟那裡，約瑟 就拿 糧食 換了他們的牛、羊、驢、馬；那 一年 因換他們一切的 牲畜，就用糧食 養活他們。 | And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. |
| 18 | 那 一年 過去，第二 年 他們又來 見約瑟，說：「我們不 瞞 我主， 我們的銀子 都花盡了，牲畜 也都歸了 我主。我們在我主 眼前，除了 我們的身體 和田地之外，一無 所剩。 | When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: |
| 19 | 你何 忍見 我們人 死 地荒呢？求你用糧食 買 我們 和 我們的地，我們 和我們的地 就要 給法老 效力。又求你給 我們種子，使我們得以存活，不致 死亡，地土 也不致 荒涼。」 | Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. |
| 20 | 於是，約瑟 為法老 買了 埃及 所有的 地， 埃及人 因 被饑荒 所迫，各 都賣了 自己的田地；那地 就都歸了 法老。 | And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. |
| 21 | 至於 百姓，約瑟叫他們，從埃及 這邊 直到 埃及那邊，都各歸 各城。 | And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof. |
| 22 | 惟有 祭司 的地，約瑟沒有 買，因為 祭司 有從 法老 所得的常俸。他們吃 法老 所 給 的 常俸，所以 他們不 賣 自己的地。 | Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands. |
| 23 | 約瑟 對 百姓 說：「 我今日 為法老 買了 你們 和 你們的地，看哪，這裡有種子 給你們，你們可以種 地。 | Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. |
| 24 | 後來 打糧食的時候，你們要把五分之一 納給 法老，四 分 可以歸 你們 做地 裡的種子，也做 你們和 你們家口 孩童的食物。」 | And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. |
| 25 | 他們說：「你救了我們的性命。但願我們在我主 眼前 蒙 恩，我們就作 法老的 僕人。」 | And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants. |
| 26 | 於是約瑟 為 埃及 地 定下 常例，直到 今日：法老 必得五分之一，惟 獨 祭司 的地 不 歸 法老。 | And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s. |
| 27 | 以色列人 住在 埃及 的歌珊 地。他們在那裡 置了產業，並且生育 甚 多。 | And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly. |
| 28 | 雅各 住 在埃及 地 十 七 年，雅各 平生 的年 日 是 一百 四十 七 歲。 | And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years. |
| 29 | 以色列 的死 期 臨近了，他就叫了 他兒子 約瑟來，說：「我若 在你眼前 蒙 恩，請 你把手 放 在我大腿 底下，用慈愛 和誠實 待 我，請 你不要 將我葬 在埃及。 | And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt: |
| 30 | 我與 我祖我父 同睡的時候，你要將我帶出 埃及，葬 在他們所葬的地方。」約瑟說：「我必 遵著你的命 而行。」 | But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said. |
| 31 | 雅各說：「你要向我 起誓。」約瑟就向他 起了誓，於是以色列 在 床 頭上敬拜 神。 | And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head. |
