1 亞伯拉罕 又 娶了 一妻，名 叫基土拉。 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
2 基土拉給他 生了 心蘭、 約珊、 米但、 米甸、 伊施巴，和 書亞。 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
3 約珊 生了 示巴 和 底但。底但 的子孫 是 亞書利族、利都是族，和利烏米族。 And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
4 米甸 的兒子 是以法、以弗、哈諾、亞比大，和以勒大。這 都 是基土拉 的子孫。 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
5 亞伯拉罕 將 一切 所 有的 都給了 以撒。 And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.
6 亞伯拉罕 把財物 分給 他 庶出的 眾子，趁著自己還 在世 的時候打發他們 離開 他的兒子 以撒，往 東 方去。 But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
7 亞伯拉罕 一生 的年 日 是 一百 七十 五 歲。 And these are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.
8 亞伯拉罕 壽 高 年 邁，氣絕 而死，歸 到他列祖（原文是本民）那裡。 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
9 他兩個兒子 以撒、以實瑪利 把他 埋葬 在 麥比拉 洞裡。這洞 在 幔利 前、赫人 瑣轄 的兒子 以弗崙 的田中， And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;
10 就是 亞伯拉罕 向 赫 人 買 的那塊田。亞伯拉罕 和他妻子 撒拉 都葬 在那裡。 The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.
11 亞伯拉罕 死 了以後， 神 賜福 給 他的兒子 以撒。以撒 靠近庇耳‧拉海‧萊 居住。 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai–roi.
12 撒拉 的使女 埃及人 夏甲 給亞伯拉罕 所 生 的兒子 是 以實瑪利。 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham:
13 以實瑪利 兒子們 的名字，按著他們的家譜 記在下面。以實瑪利 的長子 是尼拜約，又有基達、亞德別、米比衫、 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
14 米施瑪、度瑪、瑪撒、 And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,
15 哈大、提瑪、伊突、拿非施、基底瑪。 Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
16 這 是 以實瑪利 眾子的 名字，照著他們的村莊、營寨，作了十二 族 的族長。 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.
17 以實瑪利 享壽 一百 三十 七 歲，氣絕 而死，歸 到他列祖（原文是本民）那裡。 And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.
18 他子孫的住處 在 他眾 弟兄 東邊，從哈腓拉 直到 埃及 前 的 書珥，正在 亞述 的道上。 And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.
19 亞伯拉罕 的兒子 以撒 的後代 記在下面。亞伯拉罕 生 以撒。 And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham begat Isaac:
20 以撒 娶 利百加 為 妻 的時候正四十 歲。利百加是巴旦‧亞蘭地的 亞蘭人 彼土利 的女兒，是亞蘭人 拉班 的妹子。 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan–aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
21 以撒 因 他妻子 不生育，就為 她 祈求 耶和華；耶和華 應允他 的祈求，他的妻子 利百加 就懷了孕。 And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 孩子們 在她腹中 彼此相爭，她就說：「若是 這樣，我 為甚麼活著呢（或譯：我為甚麼如此呢）？」她就去 求問 耶和華。 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the Lord.
23 耶和華 對她 說：兩 國 在你腹內；兩 族 要從你身上 出來。這族 必強於 那族；將來大的 要服事 小的。 And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
24 生產 的日子 到了，腹中 果然 是雙子。 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25 先 產 的身體發紅，渾身有毛，如同皮 衣，他們就給他起 名 叫以掃（就是有毛的意思）。 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
26 隨後 又 生了 以掃的兄弟，手 抓住 以掃 的腳跟，因此給他起名 叫 雅各（就是抓住的意思）。利百加生下 兩個兒子的時候，以撒 年正六十 歲。 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
27 兩個孩子 漸漸長大，以掃 善於 打獵， 常在田野；雅各 為人 安靜，常住 在帳棚裡。 And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
28 以撒 愛 以掃，因為 常吃 他的野味；利百加 卻愛 雅各。 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 有一天，雅各 熬 湯，以掃 從 田野 回來 累昏了。 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:
30 以掃 對 雅各 說：「 我 累昏了，求 你把 這 紅 湯給我喝。」因此 以掃 又叫 以東（就是紅的意思）。 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 雅各 說：「你今日 把 長子的名分 賣 給我吧。」 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32 以掃 說：「 我 將要 死，這 長子的名分 於我 有甚麼益處呢？」 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
33 雅各 說：「你今日 對我 起誓吧。」以掃就對他 起了誓，把 長子的名分 賣 給雅各。 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 於是雅各 將餅 和紅豆 湯 給了 以掃，以掃吃了 喝了，便起來 走了。這就是以掃 輕看了 他長子的名分。 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
