| 1 | 我兒，你要遵守 我的言語，將我的命令 存記 在心。 | My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. |
| 2 | 遵守 我的命令 就得存活；保守我的法則（或譯：指教），好像保守眼中 的瞳人， | Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. |
| 3 | 繫 在 你指頭上，刻 在 你心 版上。 | Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. |
| 4 | 對智慧 說：你是 我的姊妹，稱呼 聰明 為你的親人， | Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: |
| 5 | 她就保你 遠離淫 婦，遠離說諂媚 話 的外女。 | That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. |
| 6 | 我曾在我房屋 的窗戶內，從我窗欞 之間 往外觀看： | For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, |
| 7 | 見 愚蒙人內，少年人中，分明 有一個無 知 的少年人， | And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, |
| 8 | 從街上 經過，走近 淫婦的巷口，直往 通她家 的路 去， | Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, |
| 9 | 在黃昏，或晚上，或半 夜，或黑暗之中。 | In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: |
| 10 | 看哪，有一個婦人 來迎接他，是妓女 的打扮，有詭詐 的心思。 | And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. |
| 11 | 這婦人 喧嚷，不守約束，在家裡 停 不住 腳， | (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: |
| 12 | 有時 在街市上，有時 在寬闊處，或在 各 巷口 蹲伏， | Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) |
| 13 | 拉住 那少年人，與他 親嘴，臉 無羞恥 對他 說： | So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, |
| 14 | 平安 祭 在我這裡，今日 才還了 我所許的願。 | I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. |
| 15 | 因此，我出來 迎接你，懇切求見 你的面，恰巧遇見了你。 | Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. |
| 16 | 我已經用繡花毯子 和埃及 線織的 花紋布 鋪了 我的床。 | I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. |
| 17 | 我又用沒藥、沉香、桂皮 薰了 我的榻。 | I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. |
| 18 | 你來，我們可以飽享 愛情，直到 早晨；我們可以彼此親愛 歡樂。 | Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. |
| 19 | 因為 我丈夫 不 在家，出門行 遠 路； | For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: |
| 20 | 他手 拿 銀 囊，必到月望 才回 家。 | He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. |
| 21 | 淫婦用許多 巧言 誘他隨從，用諂媚的 嘴 逼他同行。 | With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. |
| 22 | 少年人立刻 跟 隨她，好像牛 往 宰殺之地；又像愚昧人 帶鎖鍊 去 受刑罰， | He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; |
| 23 | 直等 箭 穿 他的肝；如同雀鳥 急 入 網羅，卻不 知 是 自喪己命。 | Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. |
| 24 | 眾子啊，現在 要聽 從我，留心聽 我口中 的話。 | Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. |
| 25 | 你的心 不可 偏 向 淫婦的道，不要 入她的迷 途。 | Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. |
| 26 | 因為，被她傷害 仆倒的 不少；被她殺戮的而且 甚多。 | For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. |
| 27 | 她的家 是在陰間 之路，下 到 死亡 之宮。 | Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. |
