| 1 | 我兒，不要 忘記 我的法則（或譯：指教）；你心 要謹守 我的誡命； | My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: |
| 2 | 因為 它必將長久 的日子，生命 的年數 與平安，加 給你。 | For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. |
| 3 | 不可 使慈愛、誠實 離開你，要繫 在 你頸項上，刻 在 你心 版上。 | Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: |
| 4 | 這樣，你必在 神 和世人 眼前 蒙 恩寵，有聰明。 | So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. |
| 5 | 你要專 心 仰賴 耶和華，不可 倚靠 自己的聰明， | Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. |
| 6 | 在你一切 所行的事上 都要認定他，他 必指引 你的路。 | In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. |
| 7 | 不要 自以為 有 智慧；要敬畏 耶和華，遠離 惡事。 | Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. |
| 8 | 這便 醫治 你的肚臍，滋潤 你的百骨。 | It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. |
| 9 | 你要以財物 和一切 初熟的 土產 尊榮 耶和華。 | Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: |
| 10 | 這樣，你的倉房 必充滿 有餘；你的酒醡 有新酒 盈溢。 | So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. |
| 11 | 我兒，你不可 輕看 耶和華 的管教（或譯：懲治），也不可 厭煩 他的責備； | My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: |
| 12 | 因為 耶和華 所 愛的，他必責備，正如父親責備 所喜愛的 兒子。 | For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. |
| 13 | 得 智慧，得 聰明的，這人 便為有福。 | Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. |
| 14 | 因為 得 智慧勝過 得 銀子，其利益 強如精金， | For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. |
| 15 | 比珍珠（或譯：紅寶石）寶貴；你一切 所喜愛的，都不足 與 比較。 | She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. |
| 16 | 她右手 有長 壽，左手 有富 貴。 | Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. |
| 17 | 她的道 是安樂；她的路 全是 平安。 | Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. |
| 18 | 她 與持守 她的 作生命 樹；持定她的，俱各有福。 | She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. |
| 19 | 耶和華 以智慧 立 地，以聰明 定 天， | The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. |
| 20 | 以知識 使深淵 裂開，使天空 滴下 甘露。 | By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. |
| 21 | 我兒，要謹守 真智慧 和謀略，不可 使她離開 你的眼目。 | My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: |
| 22 | 這樣，她必作 你 的生命，頸項 的美飾。 | So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. |
| 23 | 你就 坦然 行 路，不致 碰 腳。 | Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. |
| 24 | 你躺下，必不 懼怕；你躺臥，睡得 香甜。 | When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. |
| 25 | 忽然來的 驚恐，不要 害怕； 惡人 遭 毀滅，也不要恐懼。 | Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. |
| 26 | 因為 耶和華 是 你所倚靠的；他必保守 你的腳 不陷入網羅。 | For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. |
| 27 | 你手 若有 行善 的力量，不可 推辭，就當向那應得的人 施行。 | Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. |
| 28 | 你那裡 若有現成的，不可 對鄰舍 說：去吧，明天 再來，我必給你。 | Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. |
| 29 | 你的鄰舍 既在你附近 安 居，你不可 設計 害 他。 | Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. |
| 30 | 人 未曾 加 害 與你，不可 無故 與 他 相爭。 | Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. |
| 31 | 不可 嫉妒 強暴的 人，也不可 選擇 他所行的 路。 | Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. |
| 32 | 因為，乖僻人 為耶和華 所憎惡；正直人 為 他所親密。 | For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. |
| 33 | 耶和華 咒詛 惡人 的家庭，賜福 與義人 的居所。 | The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. |
| 34 | 他 譏誚 那好譏誚的人，賜 恩 給謙卑的人。 | Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. |
| 35 | 智慧人 必承受 尊榮；愚昧人 高升 也成為羞辱。 | The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. |
