| 1 | 人 屢次受責罰，仍然硬著 頸項；他必頃刻 敗壞，無法 可治。 | He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. |
| 2 | 義人 增多，民 就喜樂；惡人 掌權，民 就歎息。 | When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. |
| 3 | 愛慕 智慧 的，使父親 喜樂；與妓女 結交的，卻浪費 錢財。 | Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance. |
| 4 | 王 藉公平，使國 堅定； 索要賄賂，使國傾敗。 | The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it. |
| 5 | 諂媚 鄰舍 的，就是設 網羅 絆 他的腳。 | A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet. |
| 6 | 惡 人 犯罪，自陷網羅；惟獨義人 歡呼 喜樂。 | In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice. |
| 7 | 義人 知道 查明窮人 的案；惡人 沒有 聰明，就不得而知。 | The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it. |
| 8 | 褻慢 人 煽惑 通城；智慧人 止息 眾怒。 | Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath. |
| 9 | 智慧 人 與 愚妄 人 相爭，或怒 或笑，總不能 使他止息。 | If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest. |
| 10 | 好流人血的，恨惡 完全人，索取 正直人 的性命。 | The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul. |
| 11 | 愚妄人 怒氣 全 發；智慧人 忍氣含怒。 | A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. |
| 12 | 君王 若聽 謊 言，他一切 臣僕 都是奸惡。 | If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked. |
| 13 | 貧窮人、強暴 人 在世相遇；他們 的眼目 都蒙耶和華 光照。 | The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes. |
| 14 | 君王 憑誠實 判斷 窮人；他的國位 必永遠 堅立。 | The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. |
| 15 | 杖 打和責備 能加增 智慧；放縱的 兒子 使母親 羞愧。 | The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. |
| 16 | 惡人 加多，過犯 也加多，義人 必看見 他們跌倒。 | When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. |
| 17 | 管教 你的兒子，他就使你得安息，也必使 你心裡 喜樂。 | Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. |
| 18 | 沒有 異象（或譯：默示），民 就放肆；惟遵守 律法的，便為有福。 | Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. |
| 19 | 只用言語，僕人 不肯 受管教；他雖然 明白，也不 留意。 | A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer. |
| 20 | 你見 言語 急躁的 人嗎？愚昧人 比他更 有指望。 | Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him. |
| 21 | 人將僕人 從小 嬌養，這僕人終久 必成了 他的兒子。 | He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length. |
| 22 | 好氣的 人 挑啟 爭端；暴怒的 人 多多 犯罪。 | An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. |
| 23 | 人 的高傲 必使他卑下；心裡 謙遜的，必得 尊榮。 | A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. |
| 24 | 人與 盜賊 分贓，是恨惡 自己的性命；他聽見 叫人發誓的聲音，卻不 言語。 | Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not. |
| 25 | 懼怕 人的，陷入 網羅；惟有倚靠 耶和華的，必得安穩。 | The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. |
| 26 | 求 王 恩 的人多；定 人 事 乃在耶和華。 | Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord. |
| 27 | 為非作歹 的，被義人 憎嫌；行事 正直的，被惡人 憎惡。 | An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked. |
