| 6 | 看哪，你所倚靠 的埃及 是那 壓傷的 葦 杖，人 若靠 這杖，就必刺 透 他的手。埃及 王 法老 向一切 倚靠 他 的人也是這樣。 | Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. |
| 7 | 你若 對我 說：我們倚靠 耶和華─我們的 神。希西家 豈 不是 將 神的 邱壇 和 祭壇 廢去，且對猶大 和耶路撒冷 的人說：你們當在這 壇 前 敬拜嗎？ | But if thou say to me, We trust in the Lord our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar? |
| 8 | 現在 你 把當頭 給 我主 亞述 王，我給 你 二千 匹馬，看 你 這一面騎馬 的人 夠不夠。 | Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. |
| 9 | 若不然，怎能 打敗 我主 臣僕 中最小的 軍長呢？你 竟倚靠 埃及 的戰車 馬兵嗎？ | How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? |
| 10 | 現在 我上來 攻擊 毀滅 這 地，豈沒有 耶和華的意思嗎？耶和華 吩咐我 說，你上去 攻擊 毀滅 這 地吧！』」 | And am I now come up without the Lord against this land to destroy it? the Lord said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it. |
| 11 | 以利亞敬、舍伯那、約亞 對 拉伯沙基 說：「求你 用亞蘭言語 和 僕人 說話，因為 我們 懂得；不要 用猶大言語 和我們 說話，達到 城上 百姓 的耳中。」 | Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews’ language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall. |
| 12 | 拉伯沙基 說：「我主 差遣我來，豈是單對你 和 你的主 說 這些 話嗎？不 也是對 這些坐 在 城上、要與你們 一同吃 自己糞 喝 自己尿 的人說嗎？」 | But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? |

| 14 | 王 如此 說：『你們 不要 被希西家 欺哄了，因 他不 能 拯救 你們。 | Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. |
| 15 | 也不要 聽希西家 使你們 倚靠 耶和華 說：耶和華 必要 拯救我們，這 城 必不 交 在亞述 王 的手中。』 | Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. |
| 16 | 不要 聽 希西家的話，因 亞述 王 如此 說：『你們要與我 和好。出來 投降我，各人 就可以吃 自己葡萄樹 和 無花果樹的果子， 喝 自己井 裡的水。 | Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern; |
| 17 | 等 我來 領 你們 到 一個地方，與你們本地一樣，就是有五穀 和新酒 之地，有糧食 和葡萄園 之地。 | Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards. |
| 18 | 你們要謹防，恐怕 希西家 勸導 你們 說：耶和華 必拯救我們。列國 的神 有哪一個 救 他本國 脫離亞述 王 的手呢？ | Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The Lord will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? |
| 19 | 哈馬 和亞珥拔 的神 在哪裡呢？西法瓦音 的神 在哪裡呢？ 他們曾救 撒馬利亞 脫離我的手嗎？ | Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? |
| 20 | 這些 國的 神 有 誰 曾救 自己的國 脫離我的手呢？難道 耶和華 能救 耶路撒冷 脫離我的手嗎？』」 | Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? |
| 21 | 百姓靜默不言，並不 回答 一句，因為 王 曾吩咐 說：「不要 回答他。」 | But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not. |
