| 1 | 禍哉！那些下 埃及 求幫助的，是因 仗賴 馬匹，倚靠 甚多的 車輛，並倚靠 強 壯的 馬兵，卻不 仰望 以色列 的聖者，也不 求問 耶和華。 | Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord! |
| 2 | 其實，耶和華有 智慧；他必降 災禍，並不 反悔 自己的話，卻要興起 攻擊 那作惡 之家，又攻擊 那作 孽 幫助人的。 | Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity. |
| 3 | 埃及人 不過是人，並不是 神；他們的馬 不過是血肉，並不是 靈。耶和華 一伸 手，那幫助人的 必絆跌，那受幫助的 也必跌倒，都 一同 滅亡。 | Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. |
| 4 | 耶和華 對我 如此 說： 獅子 和少壯獅子 護 食 咆哮，就是 喊 許多 牧人 來攻擊牠，牠總不 因他們的聲音 驚惶，也不 因他們的喧嘩 縮伏。如此，萬軍 之耶和華 也必降臨 在 錫安 山 岡 上爭戰。 | For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. |
| 5 | 雀鳥 怎樣搧翅覆雛，萬軍 之耶和華 也要照樣 保護 耶路撒冷。他必保護 拯救，要越 門保守。 | As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. |
| 6 | 以色列 人哪，你們深深地 悖逆耶和華，現今要歸向 他。 | Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted. |
| 7 | 到那 日，各人 必將他金 偶像 銀 偶像，就是 親手 所造、陷自己 在罪中的，都拋棄了。 | For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin. |
| 8 | 亞述人 必倒 在刀下，並非 人的刀；有刀 要將他吞滅，並非 人的刀。他 必逃避 這刀；他的少年人 必成為 服苦的。 | Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. |
| 9 | 他的磐石 必因驚嚇 挪去；他的首領 必因大旗 驚惶。這是那 有火 在錫安、有爐 在耶路撒冷 的耶和華 說的。 | And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem. |
